I am personally empowered by the priesthood of God, and draw upon it as a women and single mother. I am also thankful for all of the men who honor their priesthood with an upright heart, without hypocrisy or guile.

hey.. I don't know if you'll see this, but I had a question (I'm 27 and new to the Church-I was baptized a few months ago). What do you mean by your first statement? About being empowered by God's priesthood? and How do you draw upon it as a single mother? I found this video searching for information on exactly that. I am also a single mother.. Thanks!

@@ericasilvernail988 although this was a year ago, I hope I'm able to reach out,but there is a talk by President Oaks from April 2020 General Conference the Melchizedek Priesthood and the Keys. He states, "The same principle applies when a father is absent and a mother is the family leader. She presides in her home and is instrumental in bringing the power and blessings of the priesthood into her family through her endowment and sealing in the temple." If you were able to go through them temple that is one way "to be empowered by the priesthood", but that's not the only way. There are many ways to be empowered and draw from God's Priesthood. Prayer, temple attendance, including being on temple grounds, scripture study, including KZfaq searches like this video and many more. I hope this reaches you ad answers your question. There isn't "just one way" to draw such power from His Priesthood. Hopes this help.

@@ericasilvernail988 I don’t know if you got the answer that you needed, but those who were sealed in the temple as husband and wife, the wife has power through the priesthood because of that sealing. Only in the temple is this possible and it is such a blessing for me to know that when I pass someday, my wife will still have that priesthood promise to bless her.

I know that this is our Prophet today. Please pray about it if you have not already. I promise that you will receive an answer to your prayer. Jesus Christ lives and has living apostles and a living prophet on the Earth.

with all the blessings that come from the power of the priesthood the price that we have to pay is absolutely miniscule the blessings that will come are beyond our comprehension

Receiving revelation from the Master Teacher and increasing one's own ability to be hear and follow the Spirit continues to be an important reminder in President Nelson's time so far. Very timely reminders as secularism increases on all sides and the need for more ministers with priesthood power increases as well.

In spite of priesthood power, God allowed 2 of President Nelson's daughters to die. Even though we might have the faith and the works to "merit" miracles, sometimes the Lord stays His hand and lets nature take its course. Sometimes, we are not meant to be healed. Sometimes we are appointed to die.

My brother always uses the word "graduate", in place of "die". I rejoice when a precios child is taken home to his Heavenly Parents, knowing that he won't have to endure the pains and heartaches of mortality.❤
