During Prince Cup registration, participants specify how their username is pronounced (at least that was the case in Prince Cup Atlantic). I know you don't have bad intentions, but you should not be jumping to conclusions that casters are intentionally mispronouncing the names.

As a caster myself, I can confirm that Amal's name pronunciation was given to us as Amaru! He is a JP player, so technically, even though his full Discord name is Amalgam, it is written in kana as a loan word. Amaru is the correct pronunciation!

@@dvdia yes, lia just clarified it as well. I didn't mean to attack anyone, it just felt wrong that they kept pronouncing his name like that even though the screen showed amal and not amaru. I'd get if they couldn't pronounce it like it was shown due to accents or mother tongues but I didn't know this would be the case. Once again, I do apologize if it came off as rude instead of criticizing.

Also, reading your comment, but no worries - I personally always prefer seeing feedback like this, even if it is just a matter of clarification on our part, because it tells me what can be improved :) Sometimes it's something on the casters' end to fix, and sometimes it's something somewhere else.
