At first, you hate Penny. Then you see that she has a tragic backstory, an abusive mom, and that she dosen't want to hurt anyone. That's good writing, and actually makes you feel empathy for her

Aside from Nugget getting a smooch from Lily, Bob charging off to fight the creature to protect the children is the most heartwarming moment. Bob is the only staff member that's mentally functional in a society
