The Prison of the Future - Cognify

Introducing Cognify, the prison of the future. This facility is designed to treat criminals like patients. Instead of spending years in an actual prison cell, prisoners could finish their sentence here in just a few minutes. Cognify could someday create and implant artificial memories directly into the prisoner’s brain. It could offer a new approach to criminal rehabilitation, transforming how society deals with offenders by focusing on rehabilitation rather than punishment. #Science #Technology #Research #NeuroScience #psychology

There is indeed a dark side to how this technology can be used. What prevents harmful fake memories from being implanted in the patient's brain? That being said, the premise of rehabilitation itself and righting wrongs instead of prison sentences that last years where one is just isolated from society is good. Whether this technology is the best way to achieve this premise is debatable.

Prisoners are a source of income. You are correct. "Repairing them" quickly is illogical. In the real world, greed and corruption would lead to companies rigging the therapy to embed future criminal endeavors into the prisoners, thus guaranteeing future income streams. Legal issues would be handled by loopholes, e.g. oh that was a bug in the code from an older software version 7 years ago. We've fixed that now. Don't worry. Rinse and repeat.

The episode San Jacinto was similar in that you could select what type of memories you wish to experience also as though they actually happened... Take special note of how this episode ended, in particular. The WEF and men like Yuval Noah Herari have discussed the potential and Said humans are hackable and programmable beings. Listen to Michael Knowles show podcast ep.1519 around 36:33 mark. This is what sent me to this video and his commentary is insightful on this tech.

Interesting idea prefer the Norway and the Finland prison and mental health system. I think this referred-to system will backfire. Who we call a criminal in the future may not be perceived in this respect in the future. What if the victim is complicit or they are also exhibiting antisocial behavior, what if they have lied or their relative and immediate family have? What if the person allegedly exhibiting criminal behavior is covertly being traumatized/ re-traumatized because they are the actual victim. The process is ever going to destroy and disarm thus removing potential and turning the subject into a vacant shell. There again perhaps the subject (prisoner) would avoid the experiences of their victim they would be party to the warning signs and therefore be forearmed. It may not have the desired effect because no matter how real it appears they know that the ordeal will not last and is not real no matter how much pain is inflicted. I think it would be unlikely that the victim or family or relative would be satisfied with a few minutes of punishment. Unless that is they were very evolved. Because Humans are animals their primitive reptilian mind is engaged with the survival instinct to fight, take flight, and freeze. Humans also hunt and like some animals play with their victims to tire before they go in for the kill. Reality-Bending films: Strange Days is an interesting film to watch also Brazil. In addition, reality-bending although off-topic is still relevant today, especially with this diet Drug slimming craze is the forewarning of Requiem for a Dream.

Damn, you could get one and have your crush wear it and put in memories of you saving her from a bear attack with your bare hands and make her fall in love with you. Then be pretend nice to someone that’s mean to you and have them put it on. You could then give them memories that you saved their life and they promised you $1,000,000 for saving them. You could rule the world if you could get everyone to wear one.

Sorry not sorry. We are far away from having the technology and amount of understanding (in regards to the brain) needed to accomplish this for the foreseeable future. I believe we are about to hit another point where our science and technology is going to accelerate quickly. We still will not be at the point where we can implant memories.

they take a brain scan of the synaptic pathways within the memory storing areas of the brain. maybe it might work at creating new memories or it might overload those pathways and all that try it might end up in a vegetative state in a coma for the rest of their lives. Ruined. even more so than life in prison. who know's we don't so that aspect I'd say it's dangerous. I'd rather try it to get a degree for a job.
