Zwift Racing lives and dies by its categorisation. If a rider is too strong for a category it is unfair, but if a category is too strong for a rider to compete then it is a poor experience for the rider.
The leap from Category B to Category A is a jarring experience. It takes most riders to a place where it is impossible to compete. Because of this, many savvy riders sandbag or exploit the loopholes to stay in Category B. Should this be allowed? Is the criteria for moving to Category A too strict?
🚴‍♂️ I test the theory by doing a spicy Category B race, followed by a Ramp Test to see their impact on my Zwift Category.
