The Problem With Ibiza In Winter

In this Ibiza video, I'm gonna show you what Ibiza looks like in the winter - it's a whole different vibe compared to the crazy summer scenes! So, I kick off the day by hitting up Cala Bassa Beach near San Antonio, Ibiza. We then brave a little storm as we head over to Cala Comte.
After that, it's off to Cala Vadella, where I'm on a mission to find a good ol' cup of coffee. Next stop is Cala D Hort, where we get to check out the awesome Es Vedra rock. The adventure continues with a visit to Ritas Cantina in San Antonio. And, by the way, there's a bunch of construction work going on around the island, so we'll be checking that out too.
As the day winds down, I take a moment to catch the sunset. It's a bit chilly, but it's great to be back for some Ibiza winter action! I'll keep showing you around the island as long as I'm here, so stick around for more winter adventures.

I started to go to Ibiza when I was a teenager in the late 80's and kept going there each summer...My dream has always been to move permanently to Ibiza but I have never managed to realise it. Fear perhaps. Comfort zone probably. Now I just turned 50 and watching your videos brought back the yearning I had.

I understand that there are different points of view about winter on the island. In my opinion, after a long tourist season, (up until and including October almost everything has been open) and that in many moments we have experienced overcrowding, it is time to give the island a break and let it rest. Many residents also appreciate this break. These months the island can be enjoyed in a different way, as you have shown us in some moments in this video. In any case, time passes very quickly and we will not realize it and we will be back in spring, launching a new tourist season...

Ibiza can breathe and recharge . Far from being a problem it's a time to savour the Island and take in it's true beauty. Most people would love to be in a position to have this so called problem I would say it's more of a blessing be grateful for what Ibiza gives and keeps giving . This popped up on my feed for no reason😮 I'm 56. I first visited Ibiza, aged 7, in 1973 with my Mum. There was some talk of moving there. A well off older couple had a villa in the mountains and needed some help l guess. There was a jumbo jet crash site for a view! It did not happen but we returned in 1980 for a visit for the last time. I did end up working summers in Benidorm 85-86 and Rhodes 89-93. Met a Swede. Been in Sweden since 1994. Oh well😂

Hired a suv in October for a week and couldn’t believe how hard it is to find a parking space, st Eulalia nightmare, even portinax was bad. Just couldn’t believe how many cars on the road. Keep up the good work and more winter videos as they are so well edited. Love the island so much, next visit seems a life time away.

This is what I love about Ibiza and its total overall land coverage. You can jump in a car, on a bike and drive out and up and find great off the track vistas, places to eat and chill-out. Far from the 'commercial' craziness!.

Obviously a lot less going on there now but after an insanely busy summer it would be nice to take in the sights without the big crowds. I'd definitely enjoy relaxing on an empty beach. Wonderful views of the island, especially at the start of your video! You mentioned it is "free parking on Sunday" in San Antonio. Is this all year round or just during the winter months? Also, given the great views of the beach, have you ever thought about just doing a video where you set up a camera pointing at the beach somewhere, and you just record an hour or so of the beach and waves? Viewers can use it as a "relaxation" video so they can feel like they are there. I used to use the Cafe del Mar channel's live-stream but it seems ti doesn't broadcast out of season.

I am surprised to hear you say you got anxiety at the Chinois club, how do you deal with the clubs over the season? (I know you dont stay long) I came to Ibiza this summer for the first time in 10 years, and while I LOVED Ibiza during the day/evenings (courtesy of your guide book!), but the big clubs were just ridiculously over packed, like breaking safety laws -packed. Didnt enjoy them at all.

Ah it was because I was driving and got pulled by the police then they were faffing around, by the time they moved us along I got to the entrance and people were walking in front of the car so I got in a mood as I could t get parked so once I got to the door there was loads of people and I wasn’t sure what entrance to go as I was backstage so left it, usually I’m used to entering any club but it just triggered me, clubs ran great it was just an add up of things, I’m going to a Stadium with 80,000 tomorrow I’m totally fine with crowds

Yes but they’re pretty poor, San Antonio rents them to local businesses but there’s nothing special like the ones in the Uk and Germany, just food from local places, great for the locals but check my Christmas vlog if there is one it might have them in it

My first visit to Ibiza was in 1989, 3rd summer of love, some great DJ's back then Darren Rock, Terry Farley, Charlie Chester, I haven't been back in the last 20 years, sadly it seems you have to have deep pockets these days, you've mentioned youself that a lot of places have a minimum spend of 150 euros, hence unless you earn a large wage of have connections from what you do, i guess it prices out a lot of people for choosing Ibiza as a holiday destination although I will always have fond memories of Ibiza and hope one day I can afford to return, enjoying the blogs although mentioning that I have reposted them on another forum seems to have offended you ad my posts seem to disappear shortly after, i was merely trying to spread the word about your blog as I thought our listeners would be interested, sorry if that upset you

Hi, I know Charlie, I’ve no idea what you mean by posting them on other forums? I don’t use forums but most people that own these forums don’t support my channel and if you’ve posted them it would have been them Who removed them not me? Which ones did you post, guessing spotlight ?

Very energetic, few bowl issues to start with but all in all I feel a lot lighter, don’t get me wrong I’m not fully committed i slip up with the odd bag of crisps the other day etc but aiming to go full with it asap

@@DwayneMuffin it's the stomach issues that worry me a bit if I'm honest. Think I'll give it a go myself over the winter. No one blames your for falling foul of a bag a crisps mate, only human. Glad it's helping with your skin though big man.

Ah yeah but then that just olds me back, this video would never have happen if someone was in it, I have a few people lined up just like I said I don’t want to be around people for the sake of it, many ask me but they’re always just looking to push their services or business rather than hang out if that make sense
