that's why no one will remember Skryllex songs after 10 years... The Prodigy represents generations, and for me was part of my 90's education and i love them more then ever now

@@3jesus3christ3 yeah they kind of are, they have an extremely distinct sound to them because of the kits they've made for the music production. When you've modified a genre to the point it's gotten so popular and widespread that your name is automatically attached to it as one of the "heads" and people are trying to imitate YOUR sound, you basically own the genre

The Prodigy is an amalgamation of about a dozen different genres ranging from DnB, Rave and Breaks to Punk, Industrial and Rock. Big Beat is really just a name for high production quality electronic music the media gave to producers like the Prodigy, Fatboy Slim and the Chemical Brothers, because there's just no classifying them otherwise. They have a sound, and it's their own, simple as that.
