I think it's brilliant that you have the finale and Carmen says "Conga" And it goes that slightly further. Just pure genius.

To be honest. I have never heard of this film before. And now this is the first scene i have watched so far. If the rest of the movie is like this, I'm just happy, not having wasted more of my precious lifetime on this stuff

As you may or may not know, this is a direct reference to the very beautiful young Indian Sabu Dastagir, who was a movie star back in the 1930s and was just as gorgeous as the young man you see in this video.

Vivan blip y metacafe

From the very cute Alan in Torch Song Trilogy to a porker in The Producers.Whatever happened to the once delicious Matthew Broderick?! Unless,of course,he deliberately put on weight for this character.Looks like a pretty good re-make of a classic.And,naturally,Nathan Lane will bring a whole loada talent to any film he's in.
@PMS19503 жыл бұрын
Great stuff. Would never have been accepted let alone filmed in today's climate of political niceness, correctness and the "I apologise for being, thinking, breathing daring to rebel" culture, which makes this film all the more special. Also, all the actors actually have personalities, great voices and can act.
@ReyntiensDanny2 жыл бұрын
I do think it will be made today. 2005 isn't that far from 2021. As a musical actor I know that his show is loved . We need to stop talking about that it couldn't be done now. It's clever and funny. The show is still being performed around the world. Mel Brooks insulted everyone. If humour comedy is clever than it will survive everything. Maybe comedy has gone unfunny.
@agenttheater52 жыл бұрын
I heard that Mel Brooks once said in response to the constant that 'Blazing Saddles could never be made today': "Well we couldn't make it back then but we made it any way."
@PerthScienceClinic Жыл бұрын
It's funny the stuff that gets made today despite people saying "it couldn't be made today"... I think that Mel Brooks could do just about anything and people would accept it. Sure, it starts being camp AF, but then that turns into a winner...
