Ha! I don’t believe in all the FLAC stuff ... I mean, sure, it is probably quite good, but I only go for the best quality audio! ... what do you mean, ”the same“? Well, *I* can hear a difference! You need quality equipment to hear it, like these ear buds. They cost about 20 bucks! You know, I once converted something to flac, and it had about 50% of the size. That means that about half of the information in the audio is lost! ... what? Bit perfect? Well, even if it’s *mathematically* the same, it still has a different sound quality!

Jazz scales like chromatic 5ths infused note patterns and chords has nothing to do with jazz as a genre. Prog metal is quite often just ego induced stoned mindless self indulgence splattered onto tableture with not purpose other than be an anticonformist, which he nailed in the video. Abstract structure is an oxymoron for delivering an actual concept of any principle. And yes. Thats a subjective opinion.

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand the complexity of Tool. The musicality is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the licks will go over a typical listener's head. There's also Maynard's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation - his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these lyrics, to realize that they're not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Tool truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Maynard's existencial catchphrase "We'll ride the spiral to the end and may just go where no one's been," which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev's Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Tool's genius unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools... how I pity them. 😂 And yes by the way, I DO have a Tool tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- And even they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand.

I know the joke was made to make fun of prog timing but the bottom note has to be a number that could come from 2^x power, x has to be a whole number that is 0 or greater 1,2,4,8,16,32,64,128....etc, because of how the bottom note defines the type of note that counts for one beat. I.e. 6/8 time is 6 eighth note beats in a measure, and before I get the question, no I didn't go to Berkeley for a music education

@jmanredbull1
@jmanredbull1 4 жыл бұрын
@@reecerice3033 lol, its pretty simple if you think about it, you're just dividing the slower note in half, so you go from 4 quarter notes to 8 eighth notes because the count is 1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and, where the ands are the eighth notes then 1 e and uh 2 e and uh 3 e and uh 4 e and uh, where the e and uh's are the 16th notes (technically all the beats would be 16th notes, it's just those that are added on top of the eighth and quarter notes. Same applies to the previous example with eighth notes). Think about trying to break down a 78th note, that wouldn't work because it doesn't fall in an even spot between notes, I can break down the bigger numbers if you would like, just there isn't common sounds for counting above sixteenth notes. Edit: This is all relative to 4/4 time, if you were to change the time signature, you would have a different amount of beats, and/or a different base to start counting by, if you would like an example I can provide one
