He should've gotten nominations all throughout his career. "Underrated" is overused, but in his case, he is genuinely underrated---every bit as talented as anyone in his generation of actors.

To all of you trying to discredit lance armstrong just remember its much bigger than him, everyone in the tour de france is juicing, if you dont you simply dont have a shot at winning it. it doesnt mean it justifies it but it also doesnt mean he didnt deserve all his championships since all the guys he beat were also definetely juicing, he just had the bad luck to become the face of the scandal

La película de Frears es espectacular y está muy bien realizada. Notable ritmo, es dinámica, encantará no sólo a los aficionados al ciclismo, sino al deporte en general. ¿Ben Foster? Sencillamente notable. ¿Que no fue nominado al Oscar? Pues si hubiera sido una película sobre un dramón humano convencional (no sobre Armstrong ni de deporte), estoy seguro que habría sido, al menos, nominado. Y finalmente, respecto a la cierta hipocresía respecto al tema del doping en el ciclismo (y deporte de alto rendimiento en general), recuerdo la mítica frase del ciclista multi-campeón francés y 5 veces ganador del Tour de Francia, Jacques Anquetil: "El Tour no se gana sólo con agua mineral".

praise igiebor I'd give it a 3, it's not a bad film, but it's not the kind of film I'd recommend you'd spend money on. The acting is pretty good from Ben Foster and Chris O'Dowd, but the film overall is pretty mediocre.

Its a good movie, but it doesn't go into enough depth story wise. If you want the full story, then watch the documentaries, there's plenty of good ones out there.

Wow, gutsy... it appears they'll show him doping since he was very young... PERFECT!!! He does look like a psychopath. Anyway... there's one thing I don't like... this idea that "nobody knew" .... of course we did, everyone knew, at least in Europe. There were plenty of investigations done in France... with plenty of evidence that was simply ignored by the cycling union... because Armstrong told them to :)

All those of you who judge Lance Armstrong are hypocrites. The man is a hero. Everybody, yes EVERYBODY else in the race was doping too. You want to athletes perform incredible feats but none of you want to acknowledge how they do it. For shame. Don't forget the half billion dollars he raised for cancer research by the way.
