It's no longer a place where fans can watch their favorite Time Lord save the day, its where progressive activists preach about how terrible you are for not embracing the unnatural. #doctorwho #ripdoctorwho #davidtennant

New fans are the worst. They don't even understand WHY we don't like it anymore and that the DT series is dead... They only see the woke and progressive side without seeing further.It's a shame to use the series to propagandize and proselytizing... #RipDoctorWho #RipDavros 1963 - 2017 rip

I can't believe such accomplished actors like D.T would stoop so low as to partake in such destructive story writing that completely emasculates their former legacy. What they did to Luke Skywalker in Star Wars made me die a little inside.

David Tennant is one of the biggest progressive actors out there. It is no surprise. I bet he revelled acting in this one.

@@TheNERDWay1Yeah, I don’t have a problem with inclusiveness, but if a story is compromised because of it then it only damages the brand. I’m not a supporter of the “anti woke” outrage culture either, surely there is a way to move forward that can satisfy fans with leanings on either side of the debate? Us verses them never works. It just drives a wedge between everyone as people retreat into their cozy little tribes. Wouldn’t it be nice if there was a KZfaq channel that encouraged mature debates about these topics and maybe come to some sort of an understanding?

@@andrewgillon2763 I’d like that, but in today’s world you’re on one side or the exact opposite. The middle ground doesn’t seem to exist. The Doctor Who that came out in 2005 took the middle ground and I thought it was great. Now the same guy who gave us that is using the show as a platform to promote his ideological beliefs, putting them over good stories.

@andrewgillon2763 It's superficial inclusiveness. Virtue signaling. Everything Disney touches dies, look at Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and Marvel.

woke garbage just about sums it up , My 1st notice was during Demons run , where they had gay married soldiers , totally unnecessary to the story line ; then a whole story with Starry eyes puddle girl , then another step into woke inclusion with Bill the lesbian college girl , then the worst Doctor that I ever seen Jodie , I stopped watching after a couple of her episodes , horrible acting , etc. , worse acting than companions Mel or Ace . I can forgive the BBC if they ran out of Ideas and kill the show , but why did they have to Drag it through Fields of rocks and mud before putting it out of (our) it's misery . RIP Dr. Who .

Russell T Davies is not totally the one at fault. He is the one that revived Doctor Who in 2005, Davies wrote some of the most memorable and fantastic episodes of Doctor Who. Disney is signing his check now and flipping the bill for everything so he has to do their bidding or lose his job. If he wanted to do all this diversity stuff and preach to the fans, instead of making Doctor Who a good show, he could have done it back when he was in charge before, instead of waiting until now. I said in comments a couple of years ago that Disney was going to totally annihilate Doctor Who, But everyone was only thinking about Disney giving Doctor Who a bigger budget. Disney destroys everything they touch anymore.

RTD is completely at fault because he's the showrunner. The reason he didn't push his agendas so aggressively before was that it was harder for him to get away with it, but now culture has changed so much. Not to mention that RTD couldn't have been a member of the woke religion 15 years ago because it didn't even exist. All this trans nonsense has really only taken over society over the last 10 years, especially the last couple. RTD, like seemingly everyone else working in entertainment has been completely captured by this evil religion, and they are responsible for abusing their positions to push it onto the public.
@deadman7468 ай бұрын
I am currently exploring the hypothesis that RTD is deliberately sabotaging the show as a meta-protest against the BBC tick-box DEI he has so strenuously objected to in the past. It is arguable that Chibnall already killed the show and keeping the zombie on life support is bad for the mythology.

Dear Doctor, I cut my teeth on the show during the Tom Baker years and followed your adventures across space and time. Sure, I considered the show a B grade Syfy drama, one where each episode was a cliffhanger, and I couldn’t wait until the next episode came out. Doctor you always had class and dignity and I respected you for that. I’m ashamed of what’s become of you. Now you are an A grade well produced comedy, lacking both dignity and class. You appeared prancing around in your underwear. You, sir (I guess it’s okay to refer to you as sir) have lost your self-respect when you “bi-generated” in such a manor. They say that first impressions are lasting ones. You impressed me as a clown, a puppet on a string. I would much rather watch a poorly produced Syfy drama than a fancy, high end production that wants to pander to the WOKE. Some people are upset to see this #RIPDoctor Who movement, they haven’t grown up with the Doctor so they will never understand unless they read this letter. Maybe then, they will have a clue why some of us will no longer follow you to the corner, let alone across time and space.

It was progressive, a little gay and thoughtful about social matters. Now it's woke, preachy and advocates for mental insanity as normality. The show is openly hostile towards men, capitalism, freedom of expression and uses real life caricatures of LIVING PEOPLE to shame and insult them.

Yeah, it was plenty "diverse" back in 1963 when the show had an all white cast! Also, it was never "progressive", which is just code word for Commie NONCEense... It was Forward Thinking and Pro Humanity. Not Leftist! You're the melt here bub...

@@smoothcaliforniaarcade3366 yep when they cast a black man in the tenth planet as an astronaut you know whats funny, is it was very hard to get actors who weren't white, there were a lot of regulations. they went out of their way. as for later on, in the 70s and 80s it got plenty more "diverse"
@platonymous8 ай бұрын
Maybe if all things are becoming "progressive" then that should say something about you. You are stuck in the past. It is 2023 and trans people exist. The only thing that I will say was preachy was the girl power bit at the end that kinda made no sense. Your free to have an opinion but cant say a show is dead just from 1 out of 3 specials. Edit: I do think the episode was subpar but RTD has made subpar episodes before, this is still handdown better than 13th's doctor.
