Their first party line up on Ps1, 2 and 3 were so diverse. Now It's 95% Cinematic Action adventure games with RPG elements thrown in. What a bore and waste of potential.

I currently own a PS4 not a PS5 and I haven't feel like I have missed a lot. PS5 next gen exclusives have been great so far but they haven't pushed me to buy one just yet. The thing is that most of the biggest bluckbuster from when the PS5 launch were cross gen so you didn't missed out a lot. I think PS5 has a great future when games became only next gen and push the specs of the console to its maximum without being held back by cross gen but right know PS5 still has to deliver imo

I sold my ps4 back when they announced the ps4 pro, I was mad that they created different tiers of ps4s and there was no way to upgrade the original console without replacing it. And to be honest, I still game on my ps3 daily, Im replaying Red Dead Redemption , and I have a stack of about 70 ps3 games, 40 or so Ive never beaten, 16 or so Ive never even played, including Metal Gear Rising, which Im eyeballing for after RDR. Lots of the games still play online, free. As an old man who grew up next to a Spy hunter cabinet when I was 2 feet tall, I can tell you that what makes these older consoles special, wasnt the graphics and sound, it was the unrestricted artistry that was allowed to be expressed in the products, now everything is driven solely for profit, and it feels like the art of making video games has turned into something else, something unwholesome, and its getting harder to find games that are designed around fun, and not profit. I just want to stick with my ps3 until the industry either corrects itself, or eats itself. Because modern consoles suck, are literally all the same ( even ps4 and xbox had the same architecture) and you have to pay for things that should be free.

i agree..Sony did not do anything about scalpers and most of the games are mostly remakes and not many new Ip.

The Final Fantasy VII Remake can also be played on PS4. So even if it wasn't available on PC, it wouldn't be a PS5 exclusive. And Final Fantasy XVI is not a permanent exclusive. It's PS5 exclusive "through December 31, 2023". EDIT: The only game I've ever spent 70 dollars on and felt like I got my money's worth was Tears of the Kingdom. No other game has been worth that price tag.

I love Ratchet and Clank and have been wanting to play Rift Apart since it came out. PS5 still seems too expensive to justify playing one game though.

Man I git the ps5 on launch day and....wow I'm super underwhelmed. All this time later and the big developers are still making games for last gen. I love my ps5 but I really feel like ps5 owners are getting pooped on since the industry can't let last gen go.

This is why I bought Xbox Series S instead of PS5. Atleast XBox has GamePass where I can experience their old and new exclusive games. Unlike in PS5 where in no solid exclusives yet besides Spiderman 2 and FF7 Rebirth, not to mention that most of their releases are remastered version of their PS4 Games. Wanted to experience something new at the same time I still want to be updated to the 3rd party games. I am PS Guy btw since my last gen console is PS4 and it's still pretty solid to me.

I own every Playstation console from PS1 all the way to PS4 but I don't own the PS5 just yet. I am waiting for innovative and not formulatic First Party games to attract my interest. Because 3 years into this generation every first party exclusive release so far feels like an expansion and not a different experience. God of war Ragnarok, Forbidden West, Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart and now Spiderman 2 haven't the same fresh innovative and fresh ideas in both visual and gameplay design that the original PS4 exclusives had. They feel more formulatic reskins because Sony studios played it safe, they feel more like big expansions than really innovative sequels. Just to give you an example look at the difference between God of War 3 and 2018 or Uncharted 3 and 4 or the original new ips like Horizon, Spiderman 2018, Bloodborne or Ghost of Tsushima in the PS4 console. I don't find a reason to buy PS5 just yet. Because there are zero first party new ips and all the new exclusive games aren't unique like the PS4 exclusives were

I got my PS5 around 2 years ago (about 10 months after it launched). I remembered having to be put down on a waiting list because they were (of course) out of stock. By the time the store rang me to say they were available again, it had been months and I completely forgot about it. Was the wait worth it? Yeah

I have no real complaints with my PS5 except for the small amount of first party games. I have no problem at all with some of them being "Cross-gen." The way I saw it, I got my money's worth out of the PS5 by having a console that makes the games look better and load faster, saving tons of time that was previously spent staring at load screens. I also enjoyed new IPs in the first year from third parties like Scarlet Nexus and Immortals: Fenyx Rising. The PS5 simply played them better than they would on PS4.

I simply buyed an xbox this gen. Series S and X are really good. Gamepass and at least I dont pay Money for B Class Games anymore... there are hardly any A class games out there... for neither xbox nor PS5. Its game developers who dont deliver. Consoles we have but where are the fuckn games. People even play even games on their next gen Consoles which are at browsergame Level lol... every body waiting for gta 6 xD

Don't know what games you're playing but if all you play is CoD, sports games and superhero games you might think that but the PS5 is far from disappointing im thoroughly enjoying it

Can someone explain to me why, when everything over decades costs more dollars, what with inflation and whatnot, why exactly would videogames stay the same price. I was buying games in the 90s/2000s for 50/60 dollars too and believe me those $60 was like 100 in today's money. Just be glad we ain't paying 100 for a basic new game cause that's the way everything else in The world works
