You guys must be hardcore music fans like me to be here. First time I hear this Furs song and I realized it took me 40 years to get to it. I believe that one of the beautiful things in life is to discover something new that is old. I've been listening to it for 45 minutes already... the guitars in the background are hypnotizing. I'm pretty sure you guys have done that many times.

Me too. One time I saw them at St Andrews uni on the Talk Talk Talk tour in 81 . Definitely one of the best gigs I've ever been to. Met the band later at their hotel and drank til dawn the next day with them such a great bunch of people . They put us on the guest list for the next gig a couple of days later in Edinburgh. Great memories.

My first exposure was "Love My Way" on the radio. One of my greatest memories was seeing them at South Street Seaport NYC. I don't know which was more incredible, the show or my Co-Worker Kathy at Bell Labs Murray Hill, NJ. Kathy, if you ever read this: FIND ME (FB!)! I've been looking for you for decades now, the greatest woman I ever let slip through my fingers. I now cannot believe I was too shy at 23 (ME!) to tell you "Let's LOSE who we're with and PLEASE run away with ME!".

Not sure what the hell it’s supposed to be about lyrically but it sounds pretty awesome. That main riff before the chorus kicks in during the verses with that flanger/chorus is super atmospheric. Reminds me of being in the forest at night in autumn weather.

@@needsmoreclipping Even though Deicide’s first two albums were more or less was Slayer on steroids and were highly influenced by Slayer’s 83-86 era and is what Slayer would have done after Reign in Blood had they not done South of Heaven. You have no idea wtf you are talking about.

From Wiki: "The Imitation of Christ, by Thomas à Kempis, is a Christian devotional book first composed in Medieval Latin as De Imitatione Christi (c. 1418-1427).The devotional text is divided into four books of detailed spiritual instructions: (i) "Helpful Counsels of the Spiritual Life", (ii) "Directives for the Interior Life", (iii) "On Interior Consolation", and (iv) "On the Blessed Sacrament". .."

Imitation of Christ is ultimately something to aspire to, but the irony of Thomas a Kempis being a Catholic, in light of what that means today, is perfect ground for an incisive song. ANTI-CATHOLIC but PRO-CHRIST
