I love that when leaving the cold palace Ruyi curtseys to the other women there. Showing them respect and honor because she knows now how easy it is to be sent there, even when innocent.

The wives empire has are usually from very powerful/loyal families that plays a big role in politics and military. So that’s why even though empire doubted but he doesn’t have a direct evidence, he can’t just punish them. A slight move in one part may affect the situation as a whole. :)

I’m sure that the hair do’s these women wear are more than likely wigs, but the decorative hair pins and other accessories are GORGEOUS!! How can I find them?? I have long hair and would love these types of hair pins when I’m wearing an updo.

I got all mine on Amazon for about $10 a piece (I am in the UK and paid £7 max). I've had them since 2014 and they have lasted well. There are beautiful ornate clips too as well as more expensive types of rosewood or birch stained on etsy but they are far more expensive.
