When i saw the Queen sitting on her own i cried i wish she could have had someone by her side to comfort her she must miss him so much.

I remember as a young girl watching the coronation of Elizabeth & being mesmerized by it. She's always been the perfect monarch.

She looks so alone. Protocol and Covid not withstanding I just want to give her a hug.

What a dignified, intimate, and classy funeral. Rest in Peace Prince Phillip.

One of the saddest things about this moment in history, is the loss of a great generation who had integrity and devotion. As an American: I watched the funeral. RIP admirable Prince Philip, God bless the Queen, (so sad to see her alone), her family and the people of the country who know the value and importance of their history. I realize Charles comes next, but I truly believe Prince William with his loyalty will absolutely do his best job when the time comes.

I feel sorry for the Queen. I mean after all they was married for 70 years. Must be heartbreaking to loose a such a longtime companion nomatter how old one is.

I"ve just realised how difficult to be a member of Royal family. When you lost your beloved person all what you want is closing from anybody and stay alone. But poor this family has to keep faces and be on public even when they take farewell of their dad and granddad. So sad

There are times in life when we need Pagentry and Solemnity which brings out the best in men/women. Prince Philip deserves veneration for the unselfish, principled life he led that he dedicated to others. He deserves this beautiful ceremony.

Such an elegant, solemn and very dignified ceremony. It reflected everything he was, from the land rover, to the music and program that he wrote... "Husband to Queen Elizabeth II" was the highlight after reading all of his titles and honors.

A splendid show of respect to prince Philip. So dignified....the attention to detail with his gloves and hat on the carriage seat and on his coffin was so touching.

The family may not have worn their military uniforms, but there was a definite military presences and air to this funeral. My eyes welled seeing his hat and staff on his coffin.

The death of Prince Philip shows us the change of an era. A new era is coming. Queen Elizabeth was a very strong and capable woman, that's why she stayed on the throne all these years. I'm not sure if Prince Charles will be a good king. Rest in Peace from Greece Prince Philip.

Most beautiful funeral with clear touches of Prince Phillip. The sight of the LandRover, his cap & sword, the carriage and his personal belongings was touching and sad, but seeing the queen arriving and sitting alone made the whole funeral even sadder. The Queen and Charles look like they’ve aged since the Prince’s death. God bless the Queen. A very very sad time for the Queen!

This was such a fitting funeral for the prince, I couldn't help but think that it was for all the people that have been laid to rest this year and last year. I wish a great state funeral could be televised once a year for everyone that has passed, I couldn't help, but think back to when my dad died and we followed the coffin on foot behind, proud, sad and trying to be strong for mum's sake. May the prince rest in peace and long live the queen.

there is something about the beginning that i just love. the ritual were the soldiers are carrying out their march in a uniform and organized fashion, then come to an abrupt stop, followed by silence. from there on the piano playing is eerie and just creepy.
