When I was young, I paused before taking a drink of water and thought how good it would taste if I was someone dying of thirst in the middle of a desert. Then, having realized nothing had changed, not my environment, my thirst, or the taste, it dawned on me that the water wasn't the point, but a predilection and observance of gratitude - something that can never be taken away.

About 6-7 years ago, I had my first psychedelic experience and during the "trip" I experienced desirelessness and oneness with all things. I was also "shown" that everything I have ever felt or could feel was a part of me, was from within myself and had nothing to do with the outside world and that even the outside world was happening within me via the interpretation of sense perception. I was given the image of a blank canvas representing your true self and over time, the world paints its images onto you, making you believe that you are those images, but you are not. You are still the canvas underneath, and at anytime you can you change the images, remake them into what you want them to be or remove them and allow the Self to be who and what you are, even if the world refuses to ackowledge it. Listening to this reminded me of that experience and of that truth. Truth cannot be changed, nor can who you really are be changed by external forces: Who you are cannot be taken away. The trick of discovering the Self rather than avoiding it.

No one can steal your true peace and happiness deep inside. To achieve total inner peace is quite an achievement and to achieve total inner happiness is, perhaps even a better achievement.

I had all the power I needed the first ten years of my marriage. I was free and independent however to get it I was me, and loved allot and worked to do right and be a decent person. Who wants power if it used for bad or to get it... you have to compromise yourself? Not me. I choose love power that's natural and God given and that I actually was a decent person to get it. No one should need more power than their own bubble world is allowing for their dreams to be accomplished. Hopefully a person doesn't choose a Hitler lifestyle. I love simple and pure and honest.

Yes, the wise man knows that it is better to sit on the banks of a remote mountain stream than to be emperor of the whole world. Thank you for your thought provoking posts!

This is not entirely accurate. The wise man would prefer neither because they are externals. Men seek retreats for themselves - in the country, by the sea, in the hills - and you yourself are particularly prone to this yearning. But all this is quite unphilosophic, when it is open to you, at any time you want, to retreat into yourself. No retreat offers someone more quiet and relaxation than that into his own mind, especially if he can dip into thoughts there which put him at immediate and complete ease: and by ease I simply mean a well-ordered life. So constantly give yourself this retreat, and renew yourself. The doctrines you will visit there should be few and fundamental, sufficient at one meeting to wash away all your pain and send you back free of resentment at what you must rejoin. -MAA (a former emperor of the whole world)

Your channel name justifies this video causes happiness when you accept the universe. The text contemplates the fragility of our existence and the unpredictable nature of the universe. It poses a hypothetical scenario where a catastrophic event, such as a collision with space debris, wipes out the family of an individual who lives far away. Despite the immense grief and loss, the text suggests that one should still find the strength to accept the situation and move forward. It also touches upon the idea that life is an examination that tests us not only on visible aspects such as money, health, fame, and family but also on the unseen aspects of our character. Ultimately, the text reminds us of the fleeting nature of time and the importance of cherishing the moments we have in this universe. is so simple but still, we get twisted by the design of society which makes us powerless and still alive. Focusing on reality can help us find true happiness, rather than chasing an illusion. By acknowledging the world around us, we can better appreciate the positive aspects of life and find joy in our everyday experiences.

So happiness must be something that cannot be taken away from us. Then what is it, exactly? In reality, everything can be taken away from us. By being killed, our consciousness ceases; therefore it is not only the body but our entire self that is threatened. If life itself can be taken, then happiness, an attribute of the living, surely can be taken away as well.

Well….that implies the assumption that our physical death on this plane is the final end, which nobody as of yet can prove or disprove. But the argument could still be, if our mind continues to exist in one form or another after death, then this postulated happiness would as well. And if death is final, then happiness dies with us, but so does everything else and there is nothing left feeling the absence of happiness 🙂

The questions that you are asking in this video have already been answered centuries ago in the Book of Job. Open a Bible and read for yourself. The Greek philosophers can only go so far. God has answered all of your questions already.

How does this apply to what Putin did to Navalney?
@patiencesilva
@patiencesilva 3 ай бұрын
Please look past the propaganda and learn who Navalney was. Please open your mind to see you’re being lied to. Instead of feeling insulted, please see this as an opportunity to think for yourself and get angry at the people who lie for their own interests. I have no investment in one side or the other. I simply crave truth, and you my Dear are being treated like fool. Detach from a narrative and look for truth…at all times. I promise you’ll find clarity and peace in a world that seemingly wants people scared and confused 🤍
