Great video. Got the retro wash for the quilt I am getting back from parents. Signatures etc all over it. They never washed it. Yeah. Will see pics when done. Thank you for all the advice when I called your shop. Very helpful.

I wondered if you’d started working on those quilts! I love that you saved them.

I rescued a small log cabin top at the local flea market. I went with my youngest daughter and she saw me looking it over .She said you don't need anymore so I left it and walked away. The next week I went back and there it was ! You guessed it, I sneaked it home ! It was meant to be and the price was right. I found the right shade of blue to border it and I just need to press it and sew on the borders. I think its from the 40's and narrow strips were used. It will be a nice nap quilt size or 3/4 bed . I think muslin for the back. Im going to try frameless hand quilting. Normally. I use a hoop at a table with great light. Im really going against the quilt police but I'm retired and don't care !😂 I also, found another top just 4 inch pieced squares One block has a hole and Im just going to replace it with a indigo blue piece taken from an unfinished salvaged top. Ive purchased a bunch of squares over the years just for that reason! The cost of antique fabric is astronomical if you can find it!

Ps I've found that after you repair a section of a really old quilt , spritz it with plain water and let it dry for a day. That helps the repair be less noticeable after any requilting is done.
