In Poland I pay 50zl (12euro) for two phone plans with unlimited Internet 😎 so it's 6 euro per person. But can't wait to move to Vienna, love it there 😍😭

@@florianberger9765 obviously 🙄 minimum wage is like 800 euro, rent in Warsaw is much higher than Vienna, food cost similar, so the only cheap thing we have is the phone plans 🤷‍♀️🤡

i am sorry, but i must counter. the grocery cost won't be representative (not even close) for most of the households. for a 4 person household it's around 1000 euro. transportation is 30 per adult person per month which is really cheap but still not 30 fir the household as for the car insurance, you are refering only to mtpl. however, if you own a tesla, casco would cost you 2k yearly even with 50% bonus you are not mentioning clothing, hairdresser, public tv in my opinion, a more realistic figure is 3.5k eur monthly, but it can easily go over 4

No need to be sorry. Feedback is healthy! It really depends on the preferences. Before we had kids we spent more on groceries than today. We spent a fortune on meat in the past. Now it’s more vegetables and fruits which are luckily much more affordable! Especially if you buy seasonal. We use public transportation occasionally, so we also don’t have an annual or monthly card. We pay for single trips. Vollkasko for a Tesla costs currently around 95€ / month at Wüstenrot. But we calculated only Haftpflicht because that’s a mandatory car expense. Correct we skipped extraordinary costs like hairdresser,… will make sure to give a more detailed overview next time! Thanks for the feedback!

Hii ! Groceries appear to be significantly cheaper than groceries in the USA. I live alone and spend $280 per month whilst eating out 2-3 times per week.

Hello, Can you tell me how much would it cost for a student? Renting in a shared apartment.
@zembalu
@zembalu 2 ай бұрын
I am a native Viennese. Typically, 400 - 500 € a month for a single room of 10 to 15 sqm (approx. 110 to 160 sqft). You can google it, the term for shared apartment is "Wohngemeinschaft". "Wohngemeinschaft in Wien gesucht" will show you plenty of results. If there is a "Kaution", which can be about 1.000 €, that means a bail.

85 sq meter flat for 200€? I pay about 190€ for a 29 sq meter government flat from Gemeinde Wohnung. How can flat seekers find an 85 sq meter flat for 200€?
@KhyatiPuria

Thanks for the question but there seems to be a misunderstanding. As mentioned in the video 200€ are utility costs (mainly electricity and warm water) for a 85 sqm apartment - not rent.

English only is possible but learning German will be advantageous. For instance, in the medical field, relying solely on English may restrict you to a narrower range of doctors who can consult and diagnose in that language.

30% of working people in Austria earn so few money, that they are exempted from income tax, and 17,5% live under the poverty level (in the US 11,5%, but the level there might be different). Especially in Vienna, the rate of unemployment and poverty is high in comparison to the rest of Austria. If you watch videos like this, keep in mind, that the wonderful imperial buildings and that stuff is no way typical of every day Vienna. BTW, I am a native Viennese.
