I am native Hong Konger, I can tell you that she is the bestese Cantonese tutor who I watched on KZfaq for couple of years, she is very well in Chinese traditional and language of use in HK way without any misunderstanding, she is very good both in Cantonese and English. Highly recommended for who want to learn true HK Cantonese.

This is awesome. I love the videos you guys make. Also someone here corrected the pronunciation of Worcestershire sauce as wo-tes-sure which is wrong. It's wuss-ta-sha. Stress on the first and the "a" is a schwa. (But then Ben could've told you that) :)

Actually my favorite dim sum is some of what you've mentioned here. The Turnip cake is probably my most favorite, them followed by Rice Rolls, Char Siu Bau, and Shiu Mai :D Though sometimes fresh steamed Pork Dumplings with soy Sauce and that awesome roasted soy bean and chilli oil is perfect.

Thanks carmon for all of the helpful tips! Now I can correctly judge if the Dim Sum I'm eating is being made properly and the restaurant is not just cutting corners. If you don't mind could you do part two to this video? And could mention what kind of dim sum YOU prefer to eat? Thanks!! I personally LOVE the haa gaau, siu maai, corng fan, lo mai gai, and the paai gulat. But I've never really had any of the buns or the dessert. Thanks for this awesome video!!

The haw gao I used to love (you can't get it any more since the coffee shop in Chinatown in NYC is long gone, had shrimp, water chestnut and some dried powder brill fish. If you would make some Dim Sum tours it would be great. How to make some Dim Sum videos would be great. Any good books on the subject would be great as well.

it is so interesting and informative to find out that those steam buns and dumplings have similar equivalents all over the world(differences are in fillings, flour used, and looks). In Poland where I am from there are steam buns(love them, will have to try Dim Sum restaurant when I will find a good one, good luck with that ) but they are not white(probably because no rice four is used) and I never ate them with filing. It is either many people got the same idea, or the idea drifted, like paper.
