Dad said that he should have bought the entire line back then. He only realized decades later how valuable these toys in mint and complete condition are. This is because he always see me and my sister putting all our toys inside the big boxes without care, so most of these wouldn't even last a year.

I hope you plan to do another episode on the Filmation Ghostbusters toys. I had a bunch and watched that cartoon too, and when playing I just crossed the toys all together. Like, I didn't have an Ecto1, my Real Ghostbusters rode around in that awesome Filmation transforming flying car instead. I still have as many of those guys and ghosts as I do original Real guys, too, but man I miss that car. I never knew about the 70s movie til later, but as a kid it didn't matter. And call me a dork but I always used the foam beam for the proton pack, and I loved the ghost popper too. My lightsaber at the time was a solid plastic tube that made a whang sound when you swung it and didn't light up at all, I was used to compromise.

I had the proton pack, ghost projector, pke meter and trap! Man. I miss that stuff.

I had definitely seen the first movie before the cartoon and the toys. And I very vividly remember being at a Laneco store and seeing the toys when they came out…begged my Dad to buy me Peter (of course he did) and I was hooked. Had all the first wave and vehicles and the Firehouse. Like other toy lines, I wasnt stoked on the waves that featured the guys in various wacky outfits and features (only had Ray from the Fright Features line because he had the goggles on). Had the “slimed” Louis later on as well. Had and loved the Universal Monsters (except the Hunchback). As far as the role play stuff….had the proton pack, the trap, and a Ghostbusters II jumpsuit that I remember finding at Clover in the Palmer Mall in Easton, PA. Over the years I either sold my stuff at yard sales, lost it, or defaced it (I turned the Ecto-1 black with a paint marker 🤦🏻‍♂️ and added graffiti to the side of the Firehouse). A couple years ago, my Wife let me buy a huge Ghostbusters lot off ebay that had pretty much everything…most of the figure waves, the main vehicles and the Firehouse. Best wife ever! 😅

I remember having quite a bit of these. The werewolf and vampire figures were my favorite.

Had most of the first wave as a little boy. Thought they were cool, but I didn't play with them much. I remember the last Colorforms set I had. It was for Jurassic Park. Couldn't have been a more lazy design. Just a stock, birds eye view of trees on the island for the background and cutouts of stock photos of Grant, Ellie, and Lex, a few of the dinosaurs, and the Explorer. None of them were in proper scale, and they didn't even have the T-Rex!
