April 15th 2020 - We've been quarantined on the Island of Siargao Philippines for 29 days now and things are changing fast. Life is not the same as it was anywhere in the world and our old life in Portugal is getting further and further away from us. So now it is time to think seriously about where we are going to base our future.
You probably didn't know this, but we have visited the Philippines before and fell in love with the country back then. We had to choose between life in the Philippines & Portugal just before we had our daughter and because of family reasons we ended up living in Europe. But things may be about to change dramatically.
We got some news yesterday about our current situation in Portugal and it has given us a lot to think about. So in this video we talk about the REAL reason why we came to the Philippines, the truth about our current position and how we fell in love with the Island of Siargao the minute we set foot on it's soil.
For now we are going to upload a daily video diary of the Siargao Island Lockdown scenario. This is day 29. Our regular family travel vlogs will resume publishing later.

We usually make lumpia with vegetables. You can fill it with minced carrots, mungbeans, napa cabbage, stir fry with a dash of soy sauce. Fill it in the lumpia wrapper and fry.

I remember How I felt the 1st time we went to Siargao🌊🌴 It was the Most Sleep I got in Months..The Coconut Trees the Insect you hear at Night and the Crushing of the waves and Coffee. My Family was set for a Road Trip a Quarter of Mindanao and into the island of Siargao after School ends this May but It won't happen for Now. Ends up just watching you guyz. My wife and I enjoy watching your videos. We've never been to Siargao, but have been to the Philippines numerous times. My wife is from the Bicol region. We got married in Naga City after dating for a couple years. I'm originally from New York City, but we now live in Istanbul. We travel to the Philippines once a year, and hope to return in December. the road to 100k! relaxing video as always. things happen for a reason but before deciding to stay in the Philippines, it would be best to experience our rainy season as well especially with the typhoons and monsoon rains. the beach is nice in the dry season but could be dangerous during the typhoon months.

Hi there, if I may, I'm not sure if you knew but there are 2 other vlogger couples currently also staying in Siargao due to the quarantine. Austrian couple Mike & Nelly of "Making it Happen" Vlog and Norwegian Martin Solhagen & Ave Lovenit who got recently engaged. Another British couple George and Lucy of "The Juicy Vlog" are also in Manila(BGC) during this lockdown. Mike & Nelly as well as George and Lucy have decided to move and stay here in the Philippines so some of their insights might be helpful aside from your fathers advise and suggestions of course.
