When we’re talking about modern tennis players, the name Rafael Nadal pops to mind quite often. Why is that? Nadal has been on a roll ever since he debuted, and he really pushed the boundaries of tennis. He continues to be a marvel player, despite dealing with injuries here and there. And on top of that, he has a very interesting story too.

Your video is nice but you really need to work on research and narration if you want to make a success of this. Most of your viewers, hard core Nadal fans, know much more about his life and career than you do. Good first try though.

He is so special. I noticed that when I first saw him on tv in 2003. I have read everything about him and have met him 29 times when I was living in Paris. He is a wonderful person, so naturally calm, sometimes anxious to get away for dinner when his fans demand so much from him, but he is never rude. I love Rafa Nadal because I see him as someone who is truly himself and a person who knows his place in the world.

I really liked this. Just a few corrections: His uncle did not encourage Nadal to play with his left hand, he told Nadal he needed to choose, because there were not too many two forehands players in the top 10. Nadal went with the left hand because it felt natural to him, just as using his left leg feels natural to him when playing futbol. And Nadal didn’t win the AO 2019. He lost to Djokovic in the final. He speaks Mallorquí (his native language), Catalan and Spanish.

Well I disagree. Federer has had to face prime Nadal and Djokovic and has gotten some wins. But obviously more losses which shows him as the weaker player. Djokovic has had to face prime Nadal like you said, but also he had to play prime Federer on occasion. I feel it funny when people say djokovic and fed are more versatile in a world where Nadal won surface slam (slams in hard court, grass court and clay court in same calendar year) way back in 2010 itself. Djokovic finally did it this year and Fed has never done that. Adding to that, Nadal won an olympics gold in hard court on 2008. Djoker and Fed have never done that too. Only big thing Nadal missed in his career is WTF which is played in indoor HC. I would say both Nadal/ Djoker have some stats to show their GOAT status. Djoker in overall stats and Nadal when considered the best of 5 sets stats where I believe real tennis is played. Fed is a GOAT in his own way - the way he plays tennis and the charisma he shows on the court alhough he has no more stats to show. Fedalkovic🐐🐐🐐

How many of his 36 masters 1000 are outside clay? 26. 13 of his 20 slams are on clay. What's his overall gramslam win record at all 4 slams? How many times has been beaten before quarters in slams outside of clay? He has never won WTF and Paris, Shangai and Miami too. His weeks at Nov is more than 100 less than fed and joker. 5 year end no 1s and will soon be 2 less than joker and will never be no 1 again. If you consider all these facts it's no wonder he had no chance to be considered goat. Be is the clay goat that's all. Period. And losing h2h against joker. By all stats there is only 1 indisputable goat and that's joker
@VipulPVinayan
@VipulPVinayan 2 жыл бұрын
@@vinaydev437 How can u take away just the clay titles. With the same logic, then why don't you take out 12 hard court slams of djoker and the masters 1000s won in hard court? Then how many he has left? Its obvious that most tournaments are played on hard court and the player whose favourite surface is hard has more chances of breaking overall records. But there is no "ifs" in sport and I already agreed Djoker has the best numbers overall. But when best of 5 sets is considered, Nadal outperforms both Fed and Djoker with more winning perc, conversion rate and positive h2h.

@@vinaydev437 HAHAHAHA. He just won Grand Slam #21 at the 2022 Australian Open and he finally got the double career Grand Slam in I think the greatest Grand Slam final of his career. It even tops Wimbledon 2008 and Australian Open 2009 and US Open 2019 (losses don't count in this section except for cool highlights videos when talking about "greatest Grand Slam final" for Rafa's career. For his case the only finals that count are the 21 slams that he won). Let's look at the surface distribution of both men's GS titles: Nadal= 13 clay, 6 hard, 2 grass; Djokovic= 12 hard, 6 grass, 2 clay....so why is Nadal being punished by you when they have the same exact surface distribution across 3 different surfaces?
@nogoodnameleft
@nogoodnameleft 2 жыл бұрын
@@VipulPVinayan Nadal has 4 USO hard court titles. Djokovic has 3 USO hard court titles. Nadal is 2-1 at the USO vs Djokovic. I mean...why do Djokovic fans always ignore this? Pretty big deal considering USO is far more prestigious historically than the AO. Not every professional male player even played in the AO until the 1990s. It was considered a strange slam compared to the other 3. Borg and McEnroe never played there and it was played on grass like Wimbledon until 1988 so trying to fit it in tennis history is very strange because it is kind of half-Wimbledon and half-US Open in terms of comparing the AO to any other slam.

I honestly think the argument between the greatest of all time should be Nadal and Djokovic. The reason Federer still in the conversation it's because his popularity, of cause his achievements too but the truth was, if Djokovic does not exist, the greatest player today no doubt will be Nadal, and the only reason Nadal is out of the conversation it's also because of Djokovic. No disrespect to Federer, he is a amazing tennis player, one of the greatest, but the truth is he will be the greatest fan favourite ever but greatest tennis player will only be Djokovic, it's been locked in this era, period!! If Djokovic not play in this sport, Nadal would have probably over 28 grand slams in his trophy cabinet, Federer might have few more, 25 the most and Murray would probably have another 5 or 6 more the most. I felt Murray's personality and character isn't that motivated chasing success. We might have couple new GS champions, even Nishikori might win a couple in his career, but that just a fan's opinion, that's all!

I don't know what you mean when you say Rafa came from "very humble beginnings". My understanding is that he came from quite a wealthy or well off family. Also, he did not win the AO in 2019. You need to get a fact checker, especially with a title like the "Real story of Rafael Nadal". Every title, especially a GS title, is hugely important in a player's career, so get your dates right, please.

Nadal Djokovic is better for those who prefer more physical grinding style that takes the fighter spirit to the limit, and Nadal Federer is better for those who prefer the legacy and story of tennis and the classic matchup

@@Nyphe I do not see any rivalry. Fed has been beater squarely by nadal. The only true pound for pount rivalry is between joker and nadal and is actually a rival in every sense.

Rafa accepts Roger his biggest rival. So Rafa doesnt compete again novak. Its Novak who tried to imitate Rafa's career path. Rafa has won Olympic gold medals in 2008 but Novak couldnt. Novak tries to compete against Rafa but Thats impossible.

@@shoeperaturkiyeyuksekokcel5207 thanks that’s kinda fact that both roger and Rafa have a policy of I will scratch your back and you scratch mine to keep joker away and y will he say joker when he has a losing record against him it’s pure plain common sense . Novak unable to emulate nadal .? Lol. Look at the records and speak. Rafa will never finish year end no 1 7 times and never 350 weeks at no 1. Rafa will always be goat on clay and Novak everywhere else
