As a native Baltimorean who has watched the city decay into he shithole is now, I really didn't see the point of you driving through the city, if you want to really see Baltimore, get out and walk the alleys and look in the thousands of "bandos" (abandoned houses) the city has to offer. I retired and moved away last year, and what I tell people who wonder what Baltimore is really like, I simply tell them that whatever negative things you hear about Baltimore are too kind.

Wrong bullshit! Baltimore isn’t going to turn around for a long time. It is dangerous and drug infested and not getting any better. It’s population continues to decline steadily. It’s economy is stagnant and on the rocks. Most of its housing stock is decayed and beyond repair. Investors will continue to avoid Baltimore and focus on its cleaner safer suburbs instead. Baltimore itself is through as a prosperous major city.

I was born and raised in Baltimore. It used to be a great place with so much history. I'm still fascinated by the history and old photos but besides the inner harbor, I can't stand it. I grew up in a diverse environment, no one was prejudice, we could walk down the streets late at night and no one bothered one another. I used to take the city busses to school and work and I was safe. There had always been bad neighborhoods and falling down homes but nothing like today. It's so sad to hear how much crime and drugs have infiltrated the city. I have been living in Pennsylvania which is a beautiful state but the taxes are way too expensive. I still work in Baltimore County but I'm ready to move south. My hour long drive to work, the taxes, gas prices and many other things are just too much. It's a shame those historic, boarded up homes you were driving by, aren't fixed up and used to house the homeless and poor. They keep overwhelming the counties and taking away all the farmland so something needs to change. I could go on all day but thank you for going thru my home town. It's actually very sad to me because baltimore is now a scary place. 😪

I live in Western Maryland. We used to go to visit Baltimore to go to the Christmas decorations on 34th. Stree. I won't go near it anymore. It's a rathole.

People in South Baltimore laugh at that shit. Some of the most liveliest neighborhoods are in South Baltimore and, yes, I'm talking about with you white people, so lumping the entire city in together is goofy. Stay your little ass out in Western Maryland with 1 gas station per town, mountains, and wishing you had more to do lol. Where you at, Sharpsburg?

@Dale Estep - Pretty sure we'll be just fine without some simpleton from Western Maryland over here where we have 737373 things to do close to other major cities. You dudes out there partying in Charlestown, WV, getting your butt touched by some erotic mountain man lol

I liked how you could see the beauty tho. This old buildings are really well built beautiful buildings. Baltimore is like a lot of big cities- not a lot of opportunities and there cycles off addiction/hustling becomes the go to. Sad stuff. So much unnecessary suffering.

The city in the Police Academy movies was basically not named, well except the Miami Beach one or the crappy Moscow one,but the filming for part 1 and 3 was Toronto, part 2 and 6 was Los Angeles, unsure about part 4 and 5 and 6 were the Miami Beach and Moscow ones.
