It’s a moderate resort with deluxe amenities. It has a gym, a salon and as you mentioned they cater to the business. Think they still have a third party run the CM Cafe it’s why it’s cheap. They also run Cafe Rix, Mercado and San Angel Inn inside Mexico pavilion. Such a beautiful resort and definitely agree with why it gets panned.

This resort really is the best kept secret. It's not overcrowded other than July when soccer teams come and has great amenities. The new restaurant that opened on the water is really good too. I stayed at the tower for Halloween at it was one of the best Disney resort experiences I've had other than Animal Kingdom Lodge and the Grand Floridian. I'd stay here before I stay anywhere else.

Stayed there in May 2021 & it was great! We stayed in the same type of room for only $185/night. I don’t think we ever saw anyone around until we went to the pool or restaurants so it was a very quiet & peaceful stay. Would definitely stay there again!

Love this place, stated for 2 weeks in October 2019, staying again in September, hoping it's not too packed with conventions etc. Coming over from Scotland only every 3 years or so, I hope the transport is still as reliable as we need to maximise our time.👍

I love coronado! I did a staycation a few weeks ago there and also had the steak fritas, sooo good. the movie under the stars was really pretty at night too :) overall one of my favorite WDW resorts

this is actually me and my wife’s go to hotel! we always stay at the grand destino tower and it’s like staying at a deluxe resort for the fraction of the cost honestly.

It's really not that far from most of the parks with the exception of MK. This is a wonderful staycation hotel which we will be doing this coming May. Staying in a Tower CL room for the second time and I can't wait!

If I'm not mistaken...from look of the shower you were probably staying in an accessible room which would explain why the room was bigger.

i just stayed at coronado springs on my trip to disney and there was four of us in the room... we had plenty of storage and i agree! those rooms are much bigger than ones at other resorts.

Is this a preferred or standard room?

We just got back from a 6 night stay at CSR and loved it! First time we've stayed there and definitely won't be the last! For as big as the resort is you would think it would be wall-to-wall people, but the only place that was super crowded was the pool! Would recommend giving it a try! Love your channel! Just subscribed!😁

So there was a point in the mid 2000s or so where my family had stayed at every resort except Cornado (it’s obviously different). My uncle’s family flew down and stayed there and they did not like it so I’ve always had a negative perception of it. From your video, I absolutely loved the Spanish elements of the resort but it got a bit confused when they started to mix the Spanish elements with more Mexican elements. A hotel themed to Barcelona and Spain would be my absolute favorite.

Staying in the Gran Destino Tower in 2 weeks. Hope the restaurants are open. How are the wait times for food and are the parks busy, long lines? Recommend getting up super early to get chairs at the pool?

The buses really aren't that bad. It only takes like 10 minutes to get to most of the parks.

Coronado is nice if you are staying in the tower or have a car. The best fries I've ever had on Disney property was at Three Bridges in February 2021. Went bank in May and they literally fried the potato out which left nothing but hard, burnt shells. Got a new batch and they were slightly better but not like the first time. We also were sitting adjacent to a married couple who's marriage was O-V-E-R. Nothing like looking over the water on a beautiful night, sipping a sidecar, hearing someone telling their spouse all of their faults knowing that they still have one more night's stay at the hotel.

Would a inflatable queen bed fit in this room?

Looks nice, but it seems like a TON of walking just to get to the pool or something to eat or catch the bus.

Stayed at the Grand Destino 12/27/19 - 01/02/20, and would stay there, or the Casitas, again over nearly any other on property hotels. Yes, you either need a car or have to use the busses. BUT, you don't share the bus with any other resort. So, they aren't nearly as crowded, or have the high wait times as the others. Loved the decor with the subtle Disney touches. I HATE the in your face IP crap they've been adding to too many of their other hotels lately. The rooms are very comfortable and large. And the price was very fair for Disney. I honestly had no negatives on this property at all.

The churros are gluten-free and so good. Three Bridges restaurant is really great for people who can't eat wheat. The burgers are so good. The atmosphere is great. I love Coronado. The rooms around the lake are lovely, and the tower is beautiful too. The slide and pool is great. The pool restaurant bar is not good for gluten-free :( The buses are frequent, no problem with transportation. This resort is too overlooked. Highly recommend.
