So many players struggle for accuracy with the volley and often make mistakes. Here we explain the simple reasons this is happening and what to focus on!
There are some basic principles that players need to stick to if they want to have accurate and consistent volleys.

Another great video Sandy! Every time I watch I get so inspired and feel the need to somehow practice the technique, even if there isn’t a court nearby or I have my equipment around I just have to do some footwork and air swing exercises 😃

Surely something i struggle with, especcially with the backhand volley. I feel like my reaction time is often slower than the rest of the players on the court. In a volley-volley situation my volley often ends up to high above the net so then the oppenent can hit to my feet. My best guess is it's because my backswing is too far or slow and my racket angle set for slice.

Or the racket is not central and it is taking too long to get to position?!

Lov your vids, but please try to show more practically also, so we can see it in action too. Theoretically speaking it sounds good but it would be nicer to also back it up with showing some examples in play.

Hi Sandy, and many thanks for your very clear and instructive videos. Not holding the racket down is definately a must, I would have thought that the footwork comes next. Hope to see some more videos on this topic, especially as I'm coming from tennis (where you can't expect regular good shots when your foot- & legwork is not appropriate).

Agreed - similar to tennis, if the footwork isn't good then good shots are very difficult to execute!
