This fish recipe is not only tasty and inexpensive, but also very practical. Atlantic mackerel prepared according to this recipe can be stored in the freezer and used immediately before consumption. A fish recipe that requires no frying, boiling or baking. Everything is very simple. A minimum of ingredients for a delicious lunch. Cook with love! Cook with joy!
Ingredients and preparation:
2 Atlantic mackerel with a total weight of 900 g
Cut off fins and head
It's easier to work with the fish when it's slightly frozen
Gut the fish, rinse and pat dry
Peel the inside and remove the bones
Do the same with the other fish
1 ½-2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon of sugar
3 bay leaves
Chop finely with a knife or use ground bay leaf
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon ground coriander
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
Sprinkle the fish on both sides with a mixture of salt and sugar
Rub with garlic
Rub with spices
Wrap the fish tightly in cling film
Salt the fish in the refrigerator for 10-12 hours
After 10-12 hours, place the fish in the freezer for 2-3 hours
Prepare crispy potatoes as an accompaniment to the fish
1 kg of potatoes
Pour water over, salt and cook for 15-20 minutes
4 cloves of garlic
2 tablespoons olive oil
Place the boiled potatoes on parchment paper
Mash with a potato masher
Brush with olive oil (avoid garlic pieces)
Black pepper
Salt
Bake at 230C (450F) for 15 minutes
After 15 minutes turn the potatoes
Brush with olive oil

Salt
Bake at 230C (450F) for another 15 minutes
A small piece of Parmesan
dill (optional)
After 15 minutes sprinkle the potatoes with dill and cheese
Bake another 2-3 minutes
Tasty crispy potatoes are ready to eat
Salt-cured mackerel with spices are ready to eat
Store in the freezer (up to 6 months) and remove immediately before consumption
