Күн бұрынFull coverage of the RAF Red Arrows Display Team at the Blackpool Airshow 2022 on the Saturday.
This is a unique (we hope) year for the Reds as they perform a 7-ship formation which may never happen again. And despite the fact they have now performed almost 5000 shows, they have lost absolutely none of their trademark precision as you can see here.
Sadly the airshow itself took place far too late in the day leaving the crowd blinded by the hot sun as it moved across in front of the audience late on in the afternoon, and the beautiful red colours of the aircraft are lost as a result. Pity!

They only brought 7 jets to Blackpool Airport with no spare, and it cost them on Sunday when they were down to only 6 - worrying times for the future of the Red Arrows?

Saw this display yesterday in Blackpool. This was the best Red Arrows display I've ever seen. This has been captured so well. Thank you for sharing.

Also saw the display. You've captured it beautifully and one can easily see the great skill required. Wonderful to see how the pilots put their trust in the makers of the planes, in the ground crews who service them and in their team mates.

The red arrows are always fabulous. But that Chinook pilot was mental. If I hadn't seen it myself I wouldn't have believed that Chinook was capable of the stunts it performed

The Chinook display was awesome a few years ago and was doing much more aggressive turns - but still unusual today despite the obvious restrictions they have put onto it.

Thanks - Yes we all hope they can get more pilots ready for next season to get up to the 9 ship again with all the normal manouvers back in the show which are missing this year like the gypo break.

Blimey I’m surprised there wasnt a bird strike with all the seagulls 🤣 great footage 👍🏻👏🏻

It is quite amazing like you say with all the seagulls around - probably because they hang around the people, and the planes are over 400 metres further out to sea?

@@danielledewitt1 I wasnt being sarcastic I know they don’t go round trying to hit birds 🤦🏻♀️ you can get bird strikes from an aircraft you know !!! It’s quite common 😖

It was on another site. We saw them at Silverstone and people were asking why only 7. It said on another site that they were on other duties as they are air force pilots.
