funniest part to me: "um Jace, can I ask you something? If you want something to happen and you feel like maybe the other person is waiting for you to give a signal that you're ready, what should you do?" "Hmm.. good question. I'm glad you came to me with this. I think you should go ahead and give a signal." "Great thanks Jace" "Hard to work out signals on the phone," Jace said thoughtfully "I'll think about various signals and show you when you get home. Like, theres one signal for 'theres a demon creeping up on you and you should stab it' right? But there should be a different signal for if a deemon is creeping up behind you but I've got it in my sights. That just makes sense." ....... "Put Isabelle back on the phone"

A bit disappointed there was no discussion of the incredibly heavy implication that Robert Lightwood himself, was, in fact, gay.

@@kairanelle1380 In the flashback scene where he's talking to Alec about the future. The things he says sounds like he's speaking from experience, and are also stereotypical/typical things said by gay people who've married women. I'd quote it, but I've no idea what chapter it's in.

Hey all, i just had one thing i wanted to say to you guys and that's that I love what you do with Booksplosion! I just wish ONE THING and that is i wish there was one place, whether it be here on YT or IG or wherever, where you have the current month's book, as well as the next few months. I realize you are all super busy with your own channels and lives, but i find myself wishing i knew what the books were ahead of time (i.e. for August 2019) so that i could prepare in the even that the book is a sequel to something i haven't read yet. All in all, though i love these discussions, they make me want to read more! That in and of itself means you guys are doing a great thing and keep it up! Just make it easier to find the current book of the month as well as the next few all in one place so it's easy to find. If they are already doing this, and i'm an idiot, please show me the way and then admonish me!

Hey guys. I just did a research because I was very confused about Magnus's age. So, according to Shadowhunters wiki, Magnus was born in the 1600's, wich would make him a little older than 400 years old. Then I discovered that while the Joseon dinasty (the dinasty in which Shinyun was born) began in the 1300's, it was only dismantled in 1897, so Magnus likely created the Crimson hand in early to mid 1700's and that would give time to Shinyun to be born between late 1700's/ early 1800's. I hope this was informative. I'm reading the book right now and sometimes I get really confused with timelines, and doing research helps me out things in perspective. Thank you so much Xtine, Jesse and Kat. Sending much love from Brazil and really really hope you guys do a booksplosion with "THE LOST BOOK OF THE WHITE" since to be out tomorrow. 😍😍🥰😍🥰😍🥰😍

Can I read king of scars if I have read the Grisha trilogy, but not Six of Crows?
@askaboutthevase
@askaboutthevase 5 жыл бұрын
Maybe not. There's a plot line that follows right from where the Six of Crows duology ended. And it's a major spoiler for that series. Also, you won't have any idea who this character is and why they are the way they are and they are a POV character. So unless you're never planning to read Six of Crows don't pick up King of Scars before hand. But if Six of Crows doesn't interest you whatsoever read up about the events of Six of Crows from a Wiki page or something and that should be good. Having read Six of Crows I would like to tell you, you don't want to skip it, but then again I'm biased.

Ok so I read the first three books then this and then the last three. I loved it, but it definitely less intense. My only problem was that alecs character from red scrolls to city of fallen angels. Because he goes from seeming happy with their relationship to being a petty jealous butt. Alec is my fav but like I admit that Alec fucked up big time in the last half of the mortal instruments.

I think it was because of what Shinyun told him at the end. When she asked him if he doesn't care about the past and he said no. She then said he would one day. I think it just didn't leave Alec's mind. And then Camille was kinda the turning point. She was very manipulative and knew exactly how to make Alec doubt everything. He wanted the truh and that's why he did what he did. At the end of CoHF he even said he was sorry for what he did but not for why he did it. Anyway, that's my 2 cents
