He never wanted them with her. He thought she was good to waste his time with, but not good enough to carry his seed. I do wonder how many abortions did she have, in those 25yrs? I had a ex-friend who had several abortions, because her ex didn’t want kids (contraception failed more then once) She was with him for 19yrs. When they broke up, all of a sudden he wanted kids. 🤦🏾‍♀️

Even if it were about kids, how incredibly selfish to choose to have children when they would have to grow up with such an increased chance of their parent dying and they know it. One fall when the kid is in their teens would be all it would take for them to lose him. He won’t be able to be active in their life, too tired, bad joint health, whatever the issue may be.

* puts on legal hat * Ladies, if you ever find yourself in this position, take him to court. No... she won't get alimony. She's not entitled to his personal money. But as an early investor in his business, she can certainly request that she be bought out. He didn't have the money. He used joint funds and her funds to start and establish the business. Sue the company directly. Calculate your mental, physical, financial and emotional labor. Present a settlement offer for a buy out. Put a timer on the offer. If he does not pay it or even counter, take the business to court. There are legal ways to be made whole or even get some kind of restitution. Think outside the box. That company wouldn't exist without her contributions. She has a right to lean into that. Do it.

His comments about the "biological quirks" and stuff is making me think he doesn't actually want the day-to-day experience of raising kids, he's just feeling some death anxiety as he gets older and subconsciously wants some little clones of himself as a way to feel less mortal by seeing his physical traits in someone younger and feeling like he's left some kind of physical legacy.

Facts. I was just having this conversation with a friend. I don't believe ANY man that says he does not want kids unless he gets the vasectomy. That was we both ha e no options of biological children when we get older. Men know that they can still dump a life partner and move on to family #2 WITH kids because sperm doesn't go away [yes it deteriorates and probably will give the kid some genetic disorder, but they can STILL have them!] That'd not fair to the wife. I wish All couples who decide this make it a deal breaker to get snipped if kids are off the table. Both parties should not be able to be like,I changed my mind. FOH!!! 😂

They aren’t married, she didn’t freeze her eggs, no savings, no job, no retirement and now he wants children to care for him in his later years. He’s wrong and she’s wasted 25 years with him and now he’s tossing her aside. She’s wasted her youth and prime working years on his raggedy behind. Women have your own and a back up plan. Marriage is a business contract she was doing wively duties as a gf for 25 years. Perhaps their relationship can be recognized by the court as common law depending on where they are. Ladies never depend on a man. He has the audacity to want children now, based on his behavior if they adopted she would do all the work. He got his wish he never wanted children and here he is. Bet he’s out looking for a younger woman to trap with children so he can have his way. Then put his gf out since the house is in his name only and any bank accounts if he has them. He wants hospice care children to care for him in his later years that’s what this about. Typical narc behavior no mention of her having friends or family that she can live with either. Smh.

Not necessarily. She’s entitled to half the property and retirement and income he earned during the marriage, especially if they filed income taxes jointly. Sure, he might be able to find loopholes to leave her high and dry in some ways, but that marriage license entitles her, which means it can be disputed in court. But yes, I agree that women should still be saving their own money on the side as well. Someone once gave financial advice for married couples saying they should have 4 bank accounts… 1 joint account to pay bills (all money/direct deposits filters in through this account first, but this account is only for paying bills), 1 savings account for the family (after bills are paid, a portion goes to family savings for vacations and/or emergencies), 1 separate account is for the wife that the husband cannot access (she gets a percentage of the savings for her own personal account to do what she chooses), and 1 separate account for the husband that the wife cannot access (he gets a percentage of the savings for her own personal account to do what he chooses). I’ve done it this way before and I find it’s very beneficial, especially in a divorce because he can’t touch her personal money when they divorce and she can’t touch his personal money when they divorce, and then the joint assets will be divided via the divorce process. I had a husband abandon me and leave the marriage and was smooth because it was like this. Now he abandoned me due to PTSD from the war overseas, but thankfully it was at an age where I can still have children, and I’m a working woman. But I say all this to say, I know the process and this is what is best.

Her only hope is taking him to court, but I’m sure he thought about that and they are not in a common law state. And sure he has a right to change his mind, but he went about this in a cruel manner. This is why women can’t buy it when men say ‘we can be in a committed relationship without marriage’ or ‘if she won’t agree to be your wife without a piece of paper, then she isn’t the one… love doesn’t require a legal certificate’. Nope. Those men can find another sucker for that BS.

He’s 57. If he has children now, they’ll be 20, hopefully in college, living their lives, not taking care of his old, broke down a$$ at 80 years old, barely able to wipe his own crack. I feel for this woman. You are absolutely correct, never give up your life on the word of someone, if it’s not backed up in writing, possibly marriage, where in this case she could’ve gotten alimony, and the house, and lived comfortably.

This breaks 💔 my heart, as it boils my blood for her right now😢. Ladies, NEVER give than 2years of unpaind audition time to a relationship if marriage & family 👪 is your goal ❤.

Stop giving wife privileges to a boyfriend. Even marriage is not a guarantee. Men will use you if you let them.

Yeah, at least in marriage, there would be protections, rights, benefits, provisions, and afforded privileges to the wife. She wouldn’t be walking away with nothing, and you can’t just put a wife out the house because it’s like a live in tenant, so she’d be getting more than a month at a vacation home as she would likely be entitled to the actual home they shared. She’d also be entitled to half his funds and money he made from his business during their time together and half of his pension, and she would get alimony because she would’ve been a stay at home wife. She’d be set. Marriage is a covering. Like All State Insurance says… Are you covered? Marriage is like that insurance in case something goes wrong (I.e. the man changes his mind and dumps you via divorce), you’ll still be covered by the Headcovering.

So who does this man think will have his children? Where is he just finding a rental womb he's 57 and has geriatric sperm? Some woman would basically sign up to just be a caretaker. I was thrown off by a man wanting to start a family at 45, 57 is a hell naw. Also would he be willing to marry to get a child? Why didn't he plan on not having kids to take care of him? Dispite what he said I'm sure he just wants a caretaker

He might as well just offered surrogacy if he wants his own children

First mistake was sticking around for 25 years... but that's just my personal opinion. 2nd mistake was not having an income of your own. She saw the financial crisis once, why feel comfy quitting your job and depending on his income? A man who has no desire to marry you. I always think "what if he gets sick? What if he gets layed off? What if he dies?"... gotta make sure life can go on. It isn't always "what if he leaves".

He’s definitely the a🤬. Do not waste your time, life & opportunities while helping someone else take advantage of their time, life and opportunities. If someone is selfish enough to allow you to solely focus on their needs,it’ll usually end up like this story.

Ladies please understand that marriage is a contract and if there is no contract then there is no agreement. "Hand-shake/I give you my word" contracts are not acceptable.

Verbal/handshake contracts are legally binding but harder to proof.

@@SupraSoulStarThe only problem is BF/GF is not a “legal” contract. It’s merely just an understanding of agreement. That’s why people can freely walk away from those type of relationships and not owe nothing, and typically why most men prefer it instead of getting married, because marriage legally binds you and you are legally bound.
