Best take ive seen on the top teams. There are teams that are totally stacked and more consistent than others, but then you have a lot of teams that are less consistent but have ridiculous ceilings when theyre peaking. It could be anyone who wins, just depends who peaks.

Technically it's true. They've won all 6 regionals and have lost fewer series that any other team in the world this season. G2 have lost more series just against GenG than Falcons have lost in total this season, which is the very definition of consistent.

G2 has been in EVERY grand finals this season season including the major and are 4-7 in the grand finals which nobody has come close to that in EU and NA... Falcons play against a buncha solid teams in Mena but isn't close to the competition in NA

Ah, my favourite G2 fan. Hope you're doing well! 1. Falcons won all 6 regionals compared to G2 winning 4. Yes NA > MENA, but not significantly. 2. Falcons have lost 3 series the entire season. G2 lost that just at the major. G2 have lost _more_ than that just to GenG. 3. Falcons are 5-0 against their closest regional competitor. G2 are 2-4 against theirs (obviously GenG > TM but the fact remains). 4. Falcons w/l ratio in series and in games this season is the best in the world. 5. Falcons did look like the better team at the major, but were arguably in the bracket with the top 3 (maybe even 4) teams at that event. Obviously this is subjective, but the only people I have seen disagree with this opinion are G2 fans. 6. Falcons at the major went toe-to-toe with the #1 team in the world at the time. G2 were on par with EU #2 & #3. There's a bunch of arguments, pick your favourite. Obviously there are also plenty of arguments to support G2 over Falcons too, but to say there are literally no arguments for Falcons is asinine.

If you want to power rank in the boring way most people do where you are trying to make every ranking as close to where they’ll place as possible, g2 falcons and bds are the clear three with any order being argued as all three have dominated in one way or another their region and competed at the previous major at the top. The issue with this ranking strategy is you’re very unlikely to predict the exact placements, because there will be upsets. And also it’s boring.

Falcons winning all 6 events is kind of an expectation when you look at the competition there, I’m sure the same result would happen of you put the #1 from any top 3 region in Falcons shoes. 2. Only losing 3 series is again backed up by the lack of competition, also G2 losing to Gen G isn’t something to discredit G2 when Gen G also played toe to toe with the winners of the event and are clearly miles better then the Mena 2. 3. Going 5-0 against Rule 1 isn’t really any reason to rank them higher, OCE #1 who didn’t compete with the top 2 regionals also beat the MENA #2 so Falcons really don’t have a “rival” who are close to them. Kind of like PSG and whoever is second in Ligue 1 4. Their win loss ratio is impressive but again is warranted by their region. 5. Saying they looked like the better team is very subjective since it’s mostly based on their 2 matchups against KC, who also weren’t as impressive as they should’ve been. 6. Harder bracket is subjective since there are arguments for and against each team in the opposing bracket. and also 3 teams went toe to toe with KC that event, including Complexity who didn’t make the playoffs. You could also say M8 swept Falcons which was GentleMates only sweep of the event, and it came against falcons. Overall I think it’s valid to put G2 number 1 because of them being the most consistent team in the world making 7/7 finals and winning the majority of them, and also because of the depth of NA being far greater than MENA’s. I’d rank the depth of MENA 4th in the world since the gap between the number 1 and 2 is significant
