I took the newly replaced Nokta Legend out for a spin and oh by did it perform unbelievably as expected. This is how the Legend should perform and what I am used to. The silver on this beach was off the charts!

Equipment:
Minelab Equinox 900, Nokta Accupoint Pinpointer, CKG Carbon Fiber Shaft & CKG Scoop, Nokta Legend, Garret Pinpointer
Minelab Equinox 900 Settings:
Beach Mode 1 & 2
Recovery Speed 5
Iron Bias 4
Sensitivity 21-24
Ground Tracking On
All Metal Mode
5 Tones
Legend Settings:
Mode: Beach mode Multi Dry (MD)
Recovery speed : 5-7 (depends how trashy the beach is)
Iron Filter: 4
Stability : 1
Ground Suppressor (GS): 0 (off)
BC (bottle cap rejection): 6
Audio Gain: 1 (anything higher on the beach the machine becomes really chatty)
Tones: Ptones
Tone Volume: Max (10) on all 1-60
Tone Frequency Notches 1-10: 1 (makes the 1-10 iron signals a deep grunt)
Tone Frequency Notches 11-60: 27
Tone Break: Default 1-10 Iron, 11-60 normal tones
Threshold: Default
Threshold Frequency: Default
Sensitivity: will vary but from 23-28 depending on the beach
Mode: Beach mode Multi Wet (MW)
Recovery speed : 5-6

What a trove of treasure! So much silver! Isn't the fire girl cool? The new Legend performs as expected UNBELIEVEABLE!

The lg28 coil is heavy, thats why they came out with the new lg30(?) Coil because its a lot lighter, and the carbon fiber upper and lower shafts

Thats the version I have, but the Nox 900 is most definitely lighter.

I know last year I was metal detecting next to a guy with a excalibur. And my legend started acting up like your last one.drove me nuts for a month!! Finally redownload to 1.09 .it improved it. Now I just turn it off when I'm around another detector.

@@SOFLOTreasureFinds if I ever get my disability I'm going to go to Myrtle Beach with my 900 never used it on the beach but really only used it 5 times in parks 2 time in the woods.

Im in canada ,never seen a green quarter before, but i also dont beach hunt, usually the nickel ones turn a dark grey/black and the steel ones turn rusty with bumps

You got me paranoid about the legend from your last video, mine was a little bit chattery yesterday, i dropped my sensitivity to 24 and it was still chirping, but they may have been emi and the ground was saturated with water, it was raining a lot the last few days and when its not raining its misting, so mushy ground, and even though it was chattery it was no where near ad bad as yours, i think it was just weather conditions ☁️🌨️ i should have tried m3 i was in 40khz the whole time

Its not abnormal to get EMI, but I can get rid of it by finding a clean channel when noise canceling and keeping the sensitivity down, thats totally normal. But my issue with the old one, was most certainly not. I have been assured Nokta will let me know what the issue was on the original legend, my guess is there was something wrong with the coil.

That new legend video was great. That is how they should work, but why do they go bad in just 6 months? Will be interesting to find out why.

They don't ALL go "bad" in six months. I've seriously hounded the guts out of my Legend for hours on end, day and night since early 2022 on my roman/medieval sites in UK. The machine is battered but brilliant. I've been swinging since the early 80's. I'm retired from work now, so I'm swinging a lot more than before. Legend is sound. So too my old F19.

@@KernowekTim Check out the other videos I have posted to gain insight as well as there may be a solution (which I posted). Have you ever updated your legend to the newest versions? If so, what version? Did you use a windows PC or Mac to perform the update. Thanks Tim.

Question ... before I finish watching ... you said "every time you get a new one" .... why are you having to buy new machines so often? Shouldn't you just have to buy one? I'm only asking because I'm new to this hobby and wanting to learn about a good machine to purchase...but I'm not sure I want to have to keep buying new machines every other year or two. right now, from research i've done.. I'm leaning towards a minelab x-terra pro ...but I'd love to know your opinion.. for someone who has NEVER used one of these machines before... a brand new , wet behind the ears beginner? Where should my wallet take me? The x-terra pro seems reasonably priced from what I can see. I need some advice. Today is my 40th birthday and as a gift to myself, I'd like to start some new adventures! Cheers and Happy New Years!

It sure is! My Nox 900 isn't going anywhere lol. Its moved up to my main machine thats for sure. But the legend will most definitely be making its appearances.
