The restoration of my International Harvester 574.

I bought the tractor in May 2010 and did a little restoration work to get her running for work. I used her to chain harrow and to top pastures but then after a year had to move to another site. This worked in my favour as the tractor no longer has to work so I can really get around to do a proper restoration job.
Most of the heavy work has been carried out by my good friend Alan, but we have also had great support from Ripon Farm Services, in Ripon and also Farmer Graham Potter from Baldersby St. James. THANK YOU TO ALL.

Those extra large head lights brings it into style with a MTZ 70. Nice tractor.

I own an international 574 and it is great to drive , the gears are very easy to operate but a great tractor overall

It may sound crazy but I would try pulling it backwards and see if it breaks free can't cost to much to do that

We are having break issues. We have never owned a tractor before so we are at a loss! Any ideas??

What's happening with the Brakes? Is it the hand brake or the footbrakes? What make and model is the Tractor?

If it’s foot brakes, it’s probably bad o-rings in the axle assembly. Hand break could be the band or the linkage.

@@PriestmanCub it is an International 574. We don't have hand breaks that we know of. We Love the tractor but would realy like to know how to get the breaks working lol!!!
