Nice job! The front tyres??....the tread is different, is one on the wrong way round? Inside is on the outside... I had a new tyre put on my car few weeks ago... and that was just something I noticed ...😀🤘

I replaced the hand brake cable on mine because the original one snapped. It works fine now.

Happy memories of playing with the Dinky toy version as a child. On the model the driver's position could be reversed, which I always thought just a quirk of Dinky's, but I've since discovered that the real thing could do that, too. I'm intrigued to know how the steering column managed this neat trick.

@PriestmanCub6 жыл бұрын
I have instructions from the owners Manual to send you for adjusting the clutch, but it won't upload on here. Do you have an email address I can post it on?
It's okay, if anyone comes up with any other ideas I'll pass it on to you, we might get your tractor sorted yet.
@PriestmanCub6 жыл бұрын
Other bit thats got me thinking is this bit 'He say's if he puts his foot under the clutch pedal and pushes it will move the tractor.' Is he lifting the clutch pedal with his foot? The clutch pedal should be held up by a spring. Does the clutch need adjusting? He could take the plate off underneath the bell housing and check the thrust / release bearing clearance to the clutch 'fingers'. Probably do this first before going down the TA route. Manage. Yes thank you ok it will move at 1st and 2nd high and all low gears but in 3 and 4 high it don’t want to move I will put my foot up under the clutch and it will just like it supposed to until I change gear so another word is I have to put my foot up under the clutch to make it move I don’t think it needs a new clutch they must know what it is it’s super simple

One club member says your T/A is not working and another member says it's a common fault that if you try to engage the high gears to fast it can engage two gears at once and wont let you move the tractor.
@PriestmanCub6 жыл бұрын
If you disengage the T/A when moving does the tractor stop moving? If it does it's your T/A that's broken.

I don't know what's wrong, it's not a problem I've had. Go on "Facebook" and log onto "The International Harvester Club of great Britain". There are guys in that club who worked on and built 674's at the British factory, they will help you. I'm in that club and they've helped me fix my 574. You can contact me on Facebook at "William John Roberts". Let me know how you get on.

I figured it out this my new account instead of dream royal but when I went to set it the thing that you adjusted it was holding it up so when I hit the bolt with a hammer I noticed that it hit the slate so the I got up got in the cab crank on up put it in 16 gear and let of the clutch when I say took of it took off so thank you for saying adjust the clutch because if it was not for you she would probably be gone cause my papa was going to trade it in for a stupid Massey Ferguson I bout to throw up every time I hear Massey Ferguson

So that 574 is 8x4 well that’s good but mine is 16x8 it work at first American farm I think that why it 78 hp and 16x8 she can pull a 4 row bottom plow going about 6 miles per hour I can pull it 8.3 miles per hour but it work a little bit I can pull a 3 row bottom plow in 16 with rpm at 1800 which I almost never run it pat 16.5 I think that 574 of yours can do it at 6 miles per hour I have a friend who owns a 574 and we go and plow my friends grandfathers field and he normally plow about in 3 high witch is 7 gear but he work it like crazy I mean a hill will make him almost choke out while I’m just a plowing with my ole 674 with a 3 row bottom
