Pity his daughter didn't know her mother's true nature. Then again would it have mattered? Jingse personally hated Ruyi, because Ruyi was sent to make sure she knew she was going to be sent away and married into one of the plains tribes. She failed to realize that if it wasn't Ruyi, someone else would have had to tell her. She spends the rest of the series/life living with her husband, son and father in the Forbidden City. I always wondered who was ruling the tribe she married into? Wasn't she sent there to make sure her father's interests were represented?
