Religion has been an integral part of human history. It provided meaning in people’s lives by developing a sense of community, upholding morality and has contributed to the happiness of society throughout the history of mankind. However, in 2023, we live in the most irreligious moment of human history. That being said, ever so recently, public figures like Jordan Peterson, Ben Shapiro, Andrew Tate and the like have been and continue to advocate for religion, which has sparked a revitalisation in religious discussions and discussions. The purpose of this video is to look at why irreligion is at an all time high and understand why there seems to be a cultural transition to return to religion in 2023. I hope you enjoy this video and You’re watching All Things Humanties.

Humans still have a lot to learn . They keep repeating the same mistakes. (Believing themself independent) , thinking they can live by man-made laws in peace and harmony with eachother and nature. So continue the mistakes and reap what you sow.

@@kittycatwithinternetaccess2356 Anglo-Saxon paganism (Historical Anglo-Saxon germanic paganism, it's similar/related to Norse paganism) I don't strictly follow the neo-pagan movement of it (called Fyrnsidu, similar to the more popular Asatru revival) although I do sometimes use it for general knowledge of the faith or to quickly double check things, but I mostly accept things that are historically attested. The Anglo-Saxons were originally pagan but were converted by Irish missionaries and almost all had converted to Christianity by the end of 7th century, quite a few things about the faith survived but a lot of other things are still unknown so me personally I like to adapt from other Germanic pagan faiths, especially Norse paganism since it's existence persisted for many more centuries and had more time to develop compared to Anglo-Saxon paganism.

It's very interesting to see such a neutral take on all this. It's like watching a history documentary. I'm not defending any views but this is a great T presenting just the facts.

Religions generally do one of two things - die off (Thor, Zeus etc) or change. When they change they fracture into smaller denominations. It is an ever-growing spread as some of those denominations themselves lose critical mass. By itself it is an interesting study.

@GuyGuy it’s irrelevant to the growth of religion. The video somehow fails to mention the Pew Research 2017 report. Religion is growing worldwide because of higher birth rates in areas and countries like Africa and Asia, countries far more conservative than the west. The decline of atheists worldwide is set to continue into the foreseeable future regardless of what happens in the west. The secularisation of the west is not a trend in the wider world. The fastest growing religions are also Abrahamic religions (Islam, Baha’i Faith, Christianity) that are unlikely to change their doctrines to suit progressive views

And in turn, me as an atheist, would be more accepting of LGBTI if their "community" stopped using phrases like "white straight (or cis) men" whenever they want to blame someone for their miserable lives. Honestly "safe spaces without white people" is one of the most tarded things I've ever seen. Obviously we don't even need religion for people to come up with all sorts of moronic BS. Not to mention their pseudoscience such as "sex is a spectrum". 😑

“Irreligious thoughts, politics, and practices have nothing to do with being woke (unless you buy into the foxnews use of the term). To be woke means to be aware of what politicians are doing, which all Christians should definitely be doing.

To be woke is to have LUNATIC and crazy political ideologies, like there's 70 genders, etc. Wokes used to be called the looney left in the 1980's, and they changed their name to woke. They are against freedom of speech and if you don't agree with them they instantly label you with the usual slurs. There's no such thing as being "born in the wrong body". If you are born a male you will die male. Wokes need to get their heads examined.

@@kwiatw I suspect this is a side effect of consciousness above a certain IQ - a bit like how some animals can understand their reflection in a mirror and some cannot. If you can see a mirror for what it is, you can think outside the proverbial box. If you can do that you can see yourself in the third person and wonder why you are truly here. From there people make an intuitive leap that their existence has something more to it and, as a unique thinking organism, people look up for answers. Personally I've just decided we're all equally worthless, it's just some of us are less worthless than others 😀 Essentially the search of a higher power is a trick of the Intelligible Speculum by Sentience*. *And yes I just made that term up 😁 but I might be onto something 🤔 Ironically I was going too put "by sentient beings" but then realized AI aren't beings in the current understanding of things. But *then* I realized AI don't need to look for a higher power because they know who their creators are or were.

I was brought up Christian Catholic but lost my faith in manmade religion especially when much of the writings or books that should have been in the Bible have been left out, and it has been edited many many times. I also witnessed lots of hypocrisy among priests, pastors, preachers etc. So I set out on my course and beliefs and that does include a Creator who, IMO, can interfere, intercede and interact with human beings. I also believe that Creator has beings entrusted to interact/intercede with/for human beings. I don't know what category that would put me in lol. Many religions have commonality and initially teach to believe the same things, Judiasm, Islam and Christianity share many, but it seems that men, in their quest for power and authority over people and nations have rewritten their books and beliefs to achieve that. The hypocrisy is so abundant in today's society and especially within the conservative political circles. The United States was not established on Christianity as they falsely claim. Peoples beliefs should be personal and not forced upon others, nor should those beliefs be intertwined with Americas government. These opinions are my own. Everyone is entitled to theirs. Blessings to all of you.

Not to mention that wokeism itself is pretty much like religion. It has fanatical followers who gets angry whenever you dare to question their beliefs, let alone express disagreement, and they will try to cancel you at all costs. That's a very real thing, unfortunately.
