Thank you . This songs reminds me to be conscious of my breath, my surrounding, of the fact that I am still alive. Dedicated to someone who used to listen to this song with me and is no longer with me. For everyone out there struggling, take a moment... Pause, Let be, Breathe.... We are still here.

Thank you so much for this comment. Read it in a confusing time of my life, things do not seem understandable as it used to be, feels like i have lost control of the pace of life. Just going day after day, trying to find meaning and joy in the simple things even though they, as time, just seems to slip away through our hands, like water. Your comment just took me back to reality, in a very foggy moment, wish you the best. Peace.

I didn't want to be sad today. Rest in peace, Mr. Sakamoto. 😪 Beauty lasts as long as you still seek and find it even when things look dark and cold. The sun still shines another day. 🙏🙏

I love how everything worked in concert in this film to reflect a brutal simplicity in the storytelling. The acting, especially Leo and the bear attack rendering the character virtually unable to talk, the stark, unforgiving landscapes that were gorgeously captured, and this soundtrack. It’s all fairly minimalist storytelling but I think that’s what makes it work so well. That, and it’s just a lovely piece of music.

The music just moves me. I listen to it when I am by myself and need to think and reflect on certain issues in my life.

Ryuichi sakamoto was a marvelous musician and i wish he lived longer to make masterpieces like this. I loved his techno work, but i long for more beauties like this and 'merry christmas mr lawrence'!!

His piano compositions are rewarding to play, even with no audience. One such piece is A Flower is not a Flower. Much love to the composer! kzfaq.info/get/bejne/b59dl9ml0c2xg6c.html&ab_channel=RyuichiSakamoto-Topic

Such a Beautiful yet mournful song, a work of art that encompasses life completely when viewed at the end of life. All the heartaches, the strifes, loves won, loves lost, dreams fading away slowly, knowing time is slipping away. Dreams of loves that were pure but never expressed adequately or really understood...a sadness that the words of passion can't be whispered now and the sorrows of wrongs can't be pleaded. A peaceful darkening will soon make moot good intentions and painful memories. A brief smile for the love cherished for a lifetime but never realized by the one who still fills the quite moments with regret and a loneliness. A wondering if I am every briefly thought of?? Life passes quickly and hopefully will bring relief to all my worries & fears. I tried to love deeply & devoted lyrics but life and love have seemed more of a game, a competition of who will dominate and who is still worthy love. I feel I have failed in love & life....but I did try to love from the Heart and that must be something to be proud of I suppose. I wish you the best in your life my friend and Pray GOD will give you peace & love now and in the forever!!!

So powerfully stated my friend. Made me think of these verses: If only they had such a heart to fear Me and keep all My commandments always, so that it might be well with them and with their children forever. Deuteronomy 5:11 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am [a]gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light. Matt. 11:28-30

This reminds me a lot of the theme of the DS firelink shrine, in both songs the breath is represented, the strings are played as if they were slowly inhaling and exhaling, in the case of firelink it is a message that invites you to rest and calm down, in the message from the movie is like breathing to be able to continue living

Why does this sound like its -20 celsius and im sitting in my car, waiting for the engine to warm up, about to go to work? So many days i've had to face that feeling now. Still i ask what is the point? There is no point. You just keep going as long as you breathe i suppose.
