I used to live in New Orleans, these guys, Flow Tribe, Galactic, Papa Grows funk the Soul Rebels have been great for years, just no radio play so nobody knows. The revivalists has been doing this greatness for years and years.

That's a Shure SM7 mic he's using. Been around for 40+ years and still a wonderful vocal mic. Widely used in broadcasting. I used one for many years as a Rock DJ in L.A.. radio. Really love this guys vocal style. David Shaw is a fine, Soul/Jazz styled vocalist and the band actually has some decent soul renderings, unlike many of the pretentious young bands out there today. This song is just right, not over produced or arranged. This "live" version is more correctly a "live studio" version, as opposed to being on-stage in front of 10,000 screaming fans. I wish them all success!

ah I love it...so close to raw but a little polished. I typically am not a pop person therefore I don't listen to the radio & just stumbled upon these guys I love the rare attributes from the clothes to the instruments. These guys are the cat's pajamas they take retro and make it fresh!!
