In a different episode of the same show a man invents a device which doctors can use to feel the patients injuries, helping them to better diagnose patients. I'll not give the ending away to either episode but i'll say they're quite dark but definitely worth a watch. Benjamin Button is film about a guy born old who get younger.

I love Karl’s mind, it’s so simple at first than his ideas sounds so rubbish and ridicule but it turns out they’re in line with the ideas some expert may have in their subjects. That’s what an imaginative mind is able to do. Everything he says sounds so childish sometimes it seems to lack depth but it turns out there is no better dream than a child’s one

Basically, Karl lacks the vocabulary to articulate his ideas effectively. Sometimes he lacks sufficient education in a subject to find the words to describe something accurately, for example medicine. Other times he is just playing it up to get a reaction out of Ricky. For example, when he was talking about somebody getting "upped" at work. Like come on, nobody is that stupid.
