I also really liked how you were not too proud to show us where you came from and how you love your family. I was inspired by your Christmas home and tried to help a family get them a house built but it didn't go as smooth as would hope but they at least have a fully enclosed place now but it seems difficult to find people who won't try to take advantage of a foreigner and on my next attempt I want to be in person so I can be in charge of the money and not trust it to others. Can I ask what the investment was for the home you built? The starter home I was funding I invested $5000. I believe it was 16 feet by 20 feet in hollow block with metal roof.

I should be back in the area about Mid June to July time. I have always canned my own foods and love them. Those are telephone wires, so not much current.

Those cables are telco and most are abandoned in place. The power lines are much higher and the distribution high voltage primary wires are much higher on top of the pole.

Valencia is not a city but a municipality, more of an extension of Dumaguete. It's inhabitants still do most of their shopping in Duma. Nightlife is likewise in Duma.

Oh, I can attest to the money part. I allowed my girlfriend to handle the money the first year we were together and she got behind on the rent and utilities for 3 months 3 different times. I bought a 120,000 peso motorbike and she used it as collateral on a loan that she didn’t tell me about. She didn’t pay the note and it was repoed. So now I handle all the money and she hates It.

This video shows why Pes has the best PH channel. I watch a bunch of channels by expats who live there and it never occurs to them to get off their butt to show Valencia or Dumaguete. At best they'll walk down a street which looks like any street. And Pea hiring a videographer (Lucy) to get the best video quality. So cool to see a person absolutely at the apex of their profession. And Lucy's skill was always good, but gotten even better. Yet all the beggar channels have to cram a bunch of please sub, like, share up front. Pea waits until after her video to remind viewers and she adds a bonus funny skit when reminding. So well done.

Pes: It's always great to see different places around the Philippines, and you commentary about the places you visit. These are some of my favorite style videos you do. Your reference to "Lost In Space" was fun, but I think that I would almost have to duck under those wires because they didn't look like they were even 6 feet off the ground. When you were talking about the rabbit and asking Christine if she had ever tried rabbit, it reminded me of a joke that I will tell you on Patreon. Hello Pea. Enjoyed the video and the tour around Valencia. The comparison to Mayberry (Mt Airy) is music to my ears as I live about 45 minutes south of there. It is about 1100 feet above sea level and 5-6 miles from Virginia. Also good to see Lucy on the other side of the camera for a change. I know this might be an odd point to make, but I love that you pronounced Valencia the way us Spanish speakers do. I’ve been hearing other Philippino vloggers pronounce it as Va-len-sha. Anyhow, great video, cheers from Texas, USA!

I have a Son-in-Law in Quezon Province in the Town of Mauban. We email one another about once every six months, my fault, I am slow to action. My wife passed on 6/16/2015. She was 85 and I was 67. I want to come over, but as an ADOS, I feel I should stay HERE in the U.S. of A. as Charity begins @ Home. So I will come over to Visit for only a week or maybe Two this summer. Nice Video showing a little bit of Valencia Pea. When I retire I plan on moving to Makati since a majority of my relatives live in Manila and if I want some greenery will visit my other cousins in Bicol where I lived for 8 years as a child.
