@@spencercolgan thank you for the quick response. Do you have an email because you are literally going to save an argument or even take a 5 minute phone consult so I can show you what I’m dealing with. My BF is saying I don’t need that and is trying to start painting but there are these shiny spots coming through from where we rolled and I just keep sanding priming and sanding his paint jobs. Does it matter it’s acrylic latex paint. Sorry I’m at my whits end.

@@spencercolgan the paint I’m using is Valspar it says it 100% acrylic latex

@@npc118 , if there are shiny marks, here’s what you do…. I don’t see thinning it as important as letting the wall dry, and then priming it first! Therefore, I will as you to prime the wall…this should eliminate the shiny areas. Prime it with zinsser 1-2-3 Wait 2 hours and paint. But please wat h the video I will send you within the next several mins; I need to find it first

@@npc118 read the label…it will speak about “clean up…” The product with which you do cleanup is the product with which you do thinning. And if it is water, take a quart from the gallon can add a couple of capfuls of water to the paint and see how it works; you will learn your wheelhouse so to speak and you’ll see what works best for you and then simply add the same proportion of water to the rest of the paint; if you put it in a quart you have to do it to the rest of the gallon in the same proportion
