Good indicator. Works great when combined with candlesticks patterns and other previous high or low levels

Let me add that 10 period Bollinger band 1SD, was extensively back tested at MIT by David Elliott about 30 years ago. When price is riding/repeatedly penetrating upper such band THE TREND IS UP IF THE BAND IS HEADED UP AS WELL (this holds true on any time frame chart--5 minute/15M/1H/4H/D/W etc.--direction changes when in that band price rides the lower 1 SD band. INSIDE 1 SD band (10 period) all movements are market noise--and trend RESIDES OUTSIDE that band. If price is riding 1SD band on MTF(say 5M,15 M,1H) simultaneously, you can be sure you are doing the right thing by buying. Martinelli also did work on this noise band. Longer trend can be easily checked by whether 50 period MA is above or below 100 period MA. Comments are welcome.

@@jayantjain6550 Sir, Please test my above strategy on forex as well--currencies are trending more often & for longer periods of times--same settings on forex pairs and currency crosses & if you mix 5/10/20 positions simultaneously you would be surprised that equity remains under control, MOST OF THE TIMES, in narrow channel with smaller draw downs even in ths crazy world.I am in New York.

What he said, i discovered after a long time making mistakes thinking i was a God with Bollinger. Dont look at an active only using one time frame, even if you combine with others indicators. You gotta use 3 time frames on the same active so the bollinger can give you something more accurate.

Price action trading is the way to go I have discovered though I must admit that I still use Bollinger bands as a guide with the pipdaq setups. They work really well together...

Obviously trading bands is stressful mentally mostly when trading technical signals that are not developed, On the daily chart, i would need to see price move back and test the level in the next few days. I'm not looking for price to make a long break lower and then come back in a few weeks.I just look for a quick re-test and take my profit for the day with IQD Momentum Strategy. Traders are looking for an obvious break of a key daily area and then a quick First Test Resistance or First Test Support on the daily chart. I learnt good from Lukasz Wilhelm's ebooks and trading methods

Astounding how much they can talk and yet how little info they give us. Can’t anyone can’t give us a fairly cookbook recipe? For instance, if this , this ,and this happens, do this ! Maybe there’s more variables. Whatever....condense it down! Seems like a simple app could easily map all the variables!
