Effortless. That was Bobby. Every song he sang was effortless and with passion and real feeling. Miss him so much, The Righteous Brothers together were amazing. You gotta hear Bobby's "Summertime, and Bill's "Brown Eyed Woman" and so many more! Like "I Just Wanna Make Love To You." Blow you away, it will! But "Unchained Melody" was "Bobby's Song." He owned it.

Hello My MIxxED Reaction Friends, This performance by Mr. Bobby Hatfield (R.I.P.) of The Righteous Brothers was one for the ages!!! It is absolutely "FIRE!!!" 🔥 This "Live" version is even better than the studio recording (which yes, was used in the movie Ghost), because this was done in 1 take before a TV audience with a live orchestra and the studio recorded version did not have the "crescendo" ending that this "Live" version has!!! Many other artist have covered this song, but in my humble opinion, Mr. Bobby Hatfield "OWNS" this song, no one has done it better than him and I don't think anyone ever will, as he absolutely "NAILED-IT!!!" Mic Drop!!! 🎤

Yes-- in Ghost, when the Demi Moore character was sculpting a vase. Great reaction by you both!! There ARE 2 Righteous Brothers, who aren't brothers in real life. They got their name after a performance at a military base in California, when a person in the audience yelled-- "You sound RIGHTEOUS, BROTHERS!" You can see them perform their incomparable hit "You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling." Be amazed.

Lots of people have covered this song (written for an obscure film called "Unchained") including Elvis! Bobby Hatfield and Bill Medley (known as the Righteous Brothers) flipped a coin to see who got to sing it. Bobby won, and sang this on a national TV show with his parents in the audience. "You've Lost that Lovin' Feeling", "Soul & Inspiration", and Bill's mostly solo "I just Wanna Make Love to You". Bobby is in "Rock and Roll Heaven" (another song!) but Bill is still with us.

This was a live performance on the Andy Williams show there were no do overs or auto-tone just his God given voice. Many artists before and after him have done this song but no one will ever compare to Bobby Hatfield he owns this song. His performance was effortless, smooth and sheer perfection no one has done it better.Later in the show they both sang with Andy Williams .They had songs that held records in American Radio history. No other song has surpassed it. It's probably been played over 8 million times.(you've lost that loving feeling) listen to it .

We had something for kids our age on Friday night at the local rec center called Teen Town! I guess you could call it a Sock Hop because you couldn't wear shoes on the gym floor. It's funny because that was exactly how they chose their name. Before they were well known they played all kinds of off the wall places. Their manager booked them to an all black night club, which was not uncommon back then. When they finished their set they were leaving the stage and a quite large black man approached them and said " That Was Righteous Brothers" and bought them a drink. They next day they chose that name. I heard them tell that story on Johnny Carson Show 30 some years ago.

Your memory is faulty. It was John's Black Derby (black being the color of a hat, not a person) in Santa Ana, Orange County, CA in 1962. Doubt there were any black clubs there. Bill Medley said, at the time, it was the whitest place in the country. He could have been somewhat exaggerating, but you get the point. However, the club was near the El Toro Marine base. Some black Marines who heard there were white guys singing R&B went to check them out. They liked what they heard and continued to attend their shows for the 6 months they appeared there. It was the Marines, especially one guy, who started calling them righteous brothers continuously on and off stage. Later when they recorded Little Latin Lupe Lu, without the rest of the Paramours, they needed a name to put on the record, Bobby suggested they use the name the marines called them.

@@joehaller5155 Hello, I did say it was black Marines who started calling them righteous brothers. And, it went on for all the months they appeared at that club, not just one time, shouting from the audience and saying things like how ya righteous brothers when passing by them. The problem here, for reasons I don't understand, is you want it to be a black club. It was just a regular club in Orange county, CA. Didn't matter who you were if you liked the music you went there.

Bobby was NOT a drug addict! The night he died, they flew into the venue. Bill said that Bobby looked bad, wanted to just go to his room, have his dinner, and rest. He told Bill, something like " see you later, Beany." And went to his room. Later on, they found him in his bed with the t v remote in his hand. No drugs in the room! The press went away disappointed because there was no scandal. In all the years Bobby performed he was always consistent, never missing beat or a note. Bobby never took care of his health. He had a huge appetite for junk food. He smoked way to much. But he was not a coke addict. You people need to find the truth before you judge. But someone always wants to bring down greatness like Bobby. Who, by the way, had the most beautiful Tenor voice ever heard. Sit back and listen to "If I Ruled The World." Bobby was tired. I think he just wanted to lay it all down. He was a great husband and father, as his kids will tell you. And one of the greatest singers ever lived. We miss him. But he left us wonderful legacy of his beautiful music. Love you, Bobby!

They are amazing. If you are looking for more from them you could try out 'I wanna make love to you' thats very different. Talking about smoth voices that can go both high and low you could give the indonesian singer Vanny Vabiola an entry to your channel. She is the Queen of goosebumps. She have made amazing covers of Celine Dion, Whitney Houston, Diana Ross, Mariah Carrey and Shania Twain songs.
