- For killing an albatross, the mariner and his crew are punished with drought and death. Amidst a series of supernatural events, the mariner's life alone is spared and he repents, but he must wander the earth and tell his tale with the lesson that "all things great and small" are important.

I understand the need to read this poem aloud. despite my reedy and nonprofessional voice, I do it all the time. Bravo, young lady. You have a sweet pleasant voice, even if the Mariner himself probably didn't.

Enjoyed listening to her read this poem. Iron Maiden does a nice version of this Bruce warns us on what to do if a bird shits on your neck.

Everyone complaining about the read should know they are all volunteers, which you can do instead of whining.

Kristian's reading is very pleasant, well measured (she probably has taken public speaking classes is how i reckon) and what is more, she is erudite (erudite in my uncouth sight .. for what know I of erudition?) I will try to read it aloud... for I have no trust the takes and interpretations of the "schooled folk". I shall pronounce my words in the contemporary way... what know I of blow from blaow? Not a thing is what.

For all those people who think that there were no women on ships. Well, you've cleary done your research. Like. So much. Except of course Mary Read, Maria Lindsey, Flora Burn and, most famous, Anne Bonny. And those ONLY in 18th century. For future: try to google something before you raise your voice. (which does not change the fact that the girl in the video is kinda rubbish)

My ears are bleeding, my soul crushed. Go to the famed Richard Burton reading this, or even Ian K. This is rubbish - and stolen from LibreVox!

If this is an example of the work Librivox does, I'll certainly never again bother to sample one of their recordings! What could they have been thinking? A woman to read poetry? What a fate for this famous poem. How dare they trivialize it in this way?
