The human enzyme thing is worse than you think. Seeing DNA that codes for a human enzyme wouldn't be a that much of a surprise. It would be actually be expected to possibly see fragments of host DNA in virus, and to see fragments of virus in a host species, the longer a given virus has been infecting a given host species. Now, seeing a complete enzyme would likely be a bit of an outlier, but not impossible provided the virus is of a large enough type to have room for it in ita genome.

Yay, storyline! I know Linkara said there was going to be one for Halloween, but I thought that was relegated to Longbox. Very glad to have both.

OH BOI, HALLOWEEN TIME, WHICH MEANS PLOT! Honestly, one of the main reasons I still look up the channel from time to time, hoping for that storyline playlist to update each time.

Amazing that a story could break Linkara so bad he goes full Shatner at one point.

Do we even want to mention the Ring parody subplot in "Getsuyoubi no Tawawa" (Tawawa on Monday) by Himura Kiseki? A.k.a. Softcore situational comedy about cute Japanese women with giant boobs? In that series, Sadako, appropriately stacked for the setting, appears to a shut-in loner guy, but can't emerge to take him... because his computer monitor is too small for her boobs to fit through. Eventually she goads him into buying a bigger monitor (including apparently raising the money for him by hijacking a livestream and getting a ton of donations), at which point she comes out... and very quickly comes to regret it as the guy has taken a liking to her and proceeds to make love to her non-stop until she is forced to flee from him and hide out at a local shrine. I am not making a word of that up. This is what one comedy manga-ka decided to do with the girl from The Ring. Rule 34 is real.

When I read the title, I assumed that it was a Junji Ito crossover. Looking at the intro of how they were produced, I'm thinking I was right, given how the film crew was clearly influenced by the maddening spiral curse.

An evil version of the Magret, the "Girl in the Magic Gun" eh... nice. Also, given her line about how fun it will be about tearing Linkara's "Soul apart", I have to wonder if Lewis was inspired by the new Hellraiser movie to do this.

Ya know, I accidentally really like the longer form of videos recently. Not only is it great for the algorithm, but it makes a lot of sense considering this is a show about comics, he gets to talk about alot comics issues and more critical about the stuff Linkara is reviewing. Plus, since Linkara calls himself "A Windbag," it's fun to say "Linkara breaks wind for 52 minutes." (Haha, Fart joke.) Keep up the great work man! I'm really enjoying them 😀.

Very fun review with plenty of laughs, and dang! Magic Gun storyline, but for the Mirrorverse! That line about the little girl loving her god more than her parents certainly gave me an "oh crap" moment.

We getting into Mirrorkara's gun's history and ongoing story? I've been looking forward to this. I remember the message about how she wasn't to be pitied, for she chose this form and dark destructive power.

The Ring definitely should be done as an Anthology, where we do see various different people react to the tape. Have people either try to stop the curse, maybe a cult that wants the curse to continue, or a simple ghost story about the place Sadako grew up in and how there might be something else that helped create the curse.

Storyline ahoy! Loving it so far and I await the continuation!

Halloween has always been my Best Holiday, by far. It's such a wonderful time of community and creativity. And Ashock the Fourth Wall and Longbox of the Damned has become part of that Best Holiday time for me.

Wow...we're just dealing with the threat of Mirror Margret right out of the gate. No build mystery of whose doing what for a for the holiday season. I'm into it. We already know she volunteered to become the magic gun in her reality. So learning why and what she plans to do with our hero should be interesting.

Well, at least this year you're dealing with an old threat you forgot to take care of because you let the undead dude deal with it four years ago. So it's something different for the Halloween stuff, which is nice, since as much as I love these storylines, it's getting kind of ridiculous how some new horror, ghoul, or whatever keeps finding you in October. I mean the random probability machine must work overtime in October. Also, are we sure Moarte didn't keep the other magic gun around, knowing this might happen, just to mess with you and your crew? Because this seems right up his alley to do.
