I love the Art Nouveau style since I came into contact with some Art Nouveau lamps and furniture. Together with Art Deco it's probably my favorite style. Strange enough I didn't start experiments with Art Nouveau elements in my art till I got inspired by some of your videos. I had a art burnout for months, your videos sparked my love for art again anew. So thank you for that.

I make Leadlights (Stained Glass).I started in 1995.My favourite style is Art Nouveau ,it is what inspired me to teach myself the craft. Beautiful colours , flowing ribbons and whiplashes, easy to draw, but very challenging to do in stained glass.Always a lot of work.

I love your painting. It references some aspects of art noveau such as the lines and curves but more accessible. The way you use modern less subtle colors, avoiding the uniform, consistent lines and making the brush work appear less refined modernizes it

As my professor of the architectural design said many times: "The Art Nouveau era was the last time when people admired the true beauty of the world until the Great War completely shattered everything for what our ancestors used to live for millennia." No wonder that so many people of nowadays turn to old artistic ways again. Btw: I'm so proud of Alfons Mucha's work, mainly the Slavic Epic even his work was denigrated many times throughout the last century in his home country and still there are some people who still spit on it. But I'm absolutely convinced that Alfons Mucha is the greatest Czech painter of the 20th Century.

Art Nouveau was very popular in Hungary. You can find beautiful buildings there. City of Subotica in Serbia has also fantastic secessionist buildings.

I loved and still love Art Nouveau. When I went to art school, more than 40 years ago, it was called decadent and completely forbidden Fortunately, for this, the time became a bit more tolerant. 🙂

This is so beautiful! I am really in love with your works I love Mucha and his style of painting, I even went to an exibition of his work in 2019 and was absolutely stunned by his art. Sadly I've never went to a building art nouveau inspired, I don't think this trend was very common where I live (brasil)

I visited one of Mucha'd exhibitions in prague - it was fascinating! And you are right, I think there are no Art Nouveau buildings in Brasil I believe. Only In Mexico City are some...

There are some Art Noveau or Modernist buildings in Brasil indeed. Here you have a list, im spanish so is in spanish but the names are the same of course in your language: En São Paulo destacan Castelinho da Brigadeiro, Colégio Santa Inês y Vila Penteado. En Río de Janeiro, tenemos la Confeitaria Colombo, la Casa Vilino Silveira y el Relógio da Glória. Confeitaria Colombo (Río de Janeiro) fundada en 1894 Destaca el artista sueco Carlos Eckmann (1866-1940) que diseñó la «Vila Penteado» en São Paulo en 1902. Esta mansión fue hecha para la familia Penteado y ahora pertenece a la Universidad de São Paulo (USP). Anyway you can find about it in the net.

Art Nouveau is such a beautiful style, it's so beautiful, this artwork is gorgeous, 100000/10. I've learnt I've been pronouncing Mucha wrong my whole life oops. (my dad has some prints of his artwork, and likes art Nouveau in general, so I've grown up with some awareness of the style). I also learnt a lot, which is super helpful as I want to incorporate art nouveau into my own artwork (I just do it as a hobby, nowhere near same skill set or level, but it's fun!!)

This style has a fascinating mix of flat graphic and 3D realism that works so well! All the elements are somehow harmonious and have something of a mixed media vibe while looking very cohesive. I am not sure what exactly allows for this. Maybe it's because of the same artist working on these same elements? I don't know. I just know for sure that I love how it has that very skilled academic style I personally prefer but still contains stylized and expressive elements that don't take away from the quality.

Love Art Nouveaux. In 2017, I visited Barcelona so I did get to see the beautiful Gaudi building. In 2019 I did go to Japan where I saw my first Exhibition of Alfonse Mucha & I loved it. Funny to see how it's all around us without even noticing it growing up.

My mothers house has lots of furniture and ornaments and Tiffany lamps. She has a very distinct style but most of it has roots in this movement. Very interesting video and beautiful artwork

Hello dear Lioba! I love this video and the art history lesson! I hope you will continue creating videos like this :) I have been to Prague several times, and there are still many hotels and some buildings in the Art Nouveau style, of course I went to all the museums which exhibit Muchas' work. Also - you can get lucky by visiting antique shops which sell 2nd hand jewelry, artworks, furniture...I found the most amazing ORIGINAL earrings from Muchas' time. If you have the time, Prague is a true gem for visits. :)

What is it that you are painting on? Is it a canvas? I thought it was taped watercolor paper but you removed the tape and tadaa it was ready to be hanged I'm curious. Loving art nouveau by the way. Especially the pictural art

Thank you so much for your kind words! I don't have specific tutorials on how to create art nouveau style compositions - I do have have a few tutorials on how I generally do compositions both with photoshop or procreate so for a genreal idea on how I do that my patreon tutorials would suffice but for a specific take on how to do these art nouveau style pieces not ;) You can totally use my composition technique for digital art though and any other medium! :)

1. Your work is stunning. 2. I adore art nouveau. I also like art deco. I think my ideal home would be a mix of the two with a side order of steampunk. I wish we still had creative and artistic expression as a society, everything these days is cheap, ugly, and boring.
