QOTD: I became ARMY during BST at the end of 2016, so didn’t really know how K-pop comebacks worked. Completely missed Spring Day comeback, so DNA was my first REAL comeback that I actually actively participated in, watching the teasers, trailers, pictures, etc. SO DNA just brings back amazing memories for me, my fave off of LY:Her 💜 + I dont know why but Uth saying “😮 oh my god Hyung Steve” got me cracking up 🤣🤣

I never cared to watch any American award shows until they started inviting bts. I've been an Army since 2015. I remember calling in at work just to support them by watching the award show on TV. The thought was if we increase the viewer ratings, more doors will be opened for them so we did everything we could and I'm glad it worked. I've never regretted anything I did for the boys. I remember anticipating the DNA MV to drop. I didn't consider myself an ARMY then, just a fan. Still, I was super excited after being obsessed with their songs for months. I remember watching the clip when the members were told by Bang Si Hyuk that they would be on stage and what he said afterwards, really hit home to me and I understood why the guys are what they are today. After everything he was worried about their welfare enough to say something about it. Like he was reminding them that is was great they were going to perform but to look after themselves first and that that was more important. So very rare in any environment let alone in the music industry to have a boss like that.

Like you guys, I wish I was ARMY back then too. I actually did watch this performance live because I had been hearing about BTS on Tumblr and Twitter, so I wanted to check them out. I didn't become ARMY until around June 2020 though. Oh, and a little Korean language tip. Hyung is pronounced as if you added an H to the word young. The H and Y are said together.
