I think most Wayne's fans can agree that even if you're a hard-core fan there's always a possibility of not knowing some of his songs because he has so much music, leaks and and and. This was well done brought back so many memories esp Bow Chicka wow wow lol that was a gem. Thank YOU FOR THIS TRIP loved both parts Edit: also got the physical copy of Carter 4 I was literally in grade 9 this

I just turned 30 the other day, and watching this has really done something to me that I can't explain. I've been so focused on work and providing for the fam that the months and years just run together. Thanks for this well put together documentary. It really brought back some memories.

Thank you so much for this. I’m proud to be a true believer of Lil Wayne. Been rocking with him since 98’. My friends hated on me for liking southern hip hop/Rap being that I live on the west coast. At least my artist keep putting out music for the fans and not just a single to put out but album after album. Between his mixtapes and albums. My sons name is Carter and another son shares Wayne’s Birthday Sep -27.

Spot on about 2011 being the end of his prime. His prime years were 2005-2011 but I would say his PEAK years were 2007-2009. 2011 and onwards his voice changed, it became more high pitched and not as raspy. If you hear songs like “Mr Carter” and “Dr Carter” then listen to “6 Foot 7 Foot” you can hear the change in sound. Personally I preferred him when he sounded deeper and raspy. Still the GOAT regardless and had the best run rap has ever seen

He occasionally goes back to deep, no autotune wayne. His vocal cords are shot from the lean but he will sometimes give you a taste of what you origionally wanted in a wayne track. "Vizine" is a great example He can still do it but he i think has some sorta mental block and uses autotune as a crutch when he doesnt need to. In general the more autotune the less listenable.
@Smokedbacon-ly4kk11 ай бұрын
I feel like his prime ended in early 13, I just remember being in middle school and looking at him as the biggest artist love me, when it came out, then I think drake passed him up as the biggest in late 2013

I just found this channel and this documentary on Wayne is very well done. I basically grew up on Wayne. I'll never forget hearing Tha Carter and just realizing Wayne had some type of metamorphosis. He evolved into one of the sickest rappers I ever heard. Then from there he seemed to only get better and better. The Summer of 2007 bumpin Da Drought 3 is one of the most memorable times of my youth. I've always felt Wayne truly appreciates his fans and I got mad respect and admiration for his dedication to his craft and ability to be consistent and relevant for so long. I agree with you that he is the best rapper of all time at this point.

When we talk about new generation I mean Wayne got influence on almost whole game. He was firing back then he is firing now. He produced mixtapes, albums, feats in 90s, 00s, 10s, 20s JUST WOW how big is his talent... A few things imma say. Dedication 6 is amazing for having 2 parts. I feel like the 1st part was for the songs we wanted, and part 2 was like the lyricism we needed. With Carter 4, I remember Mirror came out and I was not in a good mental state and long story short that song is the reason i'm still alive. I feel like 2021 has been Waynes best year feature wise mostly because of the way he can adapt to these newer artists since he been in the game so long and how much has changed since. Wayne is only getting better. With NC2 i wasn't feeling it much but 1 song i love more than the others "No Days Off" such a good slow vibe song. I've been a huge wayne fan since maybe i was 9 or 10 because my brother listened to him all the time. i'm now 27 and still love wayne. this has been a great 2-part docu. thank you for this.
