If I was in your position I would build something like a standard cul-de-sac but with earthships and instead of selling them I would find them on Airbnb so that way more people could experience earth ship living. And they would make even more money than selling them upfront.

It’s interesting to hear from someone who’s known about earthships longer than I’ve been alive seeing how I was born in 1997 but did not learn about them till roughly between 2008 2011 on the Travel Channel show extreme towns.

Way to go Joy N. Hart! Nice vision. There is a plot of 230 acres on the West rim road for 170K...or a full square mile if you desire.

@@tylernelson637 I’m not sure where I fall. There are earthship inspired homes in Indiana though when I ended up in IDEM’s crosshairs? They had no clue what one was and unfortunately neither did any of the environmental lawyers out of Indianapolis. I didn’t have 40k to fight so I’ve done it on my own over last three years. I had my dogs killed during illegal inspections, pigs stolen and lost my land. Long story. I had cleared plans through DNR and local heath but my neighbor’s illegal water line discovered during my build start. They called in a favour to IDEM and my life turned upside down. IDEM left my first notice under a water jug. They claimed second time out as they misidentified 😒 land owner. I just went to reclamation DNR and ask for my land records and was told I should never have been thrown off let alone written up in first place. Home Rule has jurisdiction for my county and that in my petition to OEA. OEA is checks and balances for IDEM. Both are extrajudicially appointed and operate shade factor 6. You are only allowed to pull from previous cases but in my case ? There aren’t any and I refused to play their game and so I have been punished before even being adjudicated. Moving sanctuary animals and all enclosures, fencing and trying to tear down what I could sucked in the middle of January. I don’t want a precedent set and anyone else in Indiana to ever go through this nightmare so I’ve been clawing my way out of the grave IDEM thought they buried me in. My hearing is supposed to be public and so far they have been on zoom or team meetings and links denied to anyone. I made a public post on my Facebook asking my friends and fellow Hoosiers to respectfully ask for a link. I’m not a nervous wreck now but I had my moments.

Not with environmental housing assistance but similar thing that I had thought of would be that it should be illegal to pay prosecutors more than public defense attorneys. public defense attorneys should be paid at least as much as or even more than prosecutors. Different circumstance different situation but same idea at least to me.

@@EricEllingwood some1 else might argue price controls should be illegal. Some1 else might argue that all legislation is unlawful when applied to those whom have not contracted/ consented to that government/jurisdiction... Are rights attained by legislation? Does freedom require a permit/licence? What rights do we have to our property and home? Or are we merely renters/serfs? Questions faced on the way to the river :p

If you build one room a year say simple survival style any recruit a lot of volunteers as an owner builder the price drastically implodes
