Welcome back to another Peak District hike! In this weeks video I go for a walk in one of the most popular Peak District hiking locations. This easily one of the most beautiful walks to be done in the Peak District. From the mysterious Lads Church to the dramatic Roaches landscape there really is something for everyone on this walk!

The Roaches is a brilliant location for walking. Such a dramatic crag. Used to climb here and on adjacent Hen Cloud. Fifty years ago it was not quite so busy.

It’s a fantastic spot, I’m not a climber but can imagine there being some fantastic routes all along the crag.

Thank you for creating and sharing this. We had a break in a Holiday let near Hen Cloud about 9 years and walked all around this general location. You've brought back many happy memories

I was wanting something different, so I put in KZfaq search 'Peak District Hiking', visited a couple of channels, and thought, no, not grabbing my attention. Then up pops Alex and The Roaches, and I thought, it just has to be. I hiked up Hen Cloud in the Cloud and The Roaches in the cloud and back along the road as I turned the wrong way at The Roaches end. Went left instead of right. Love seeing it from your perspective, Alex. Really great vlog. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Alex, my Grandson and myself have just recently discovered you channel and are thoroughly enjoying your videos. They are better than any we've seen on television, very professional and we would love to know how some of the scenes are set up. We both love walking and especially the Peak District. When is it not windy on the roaches though 😂 we nearly took off on our first time up there!! By the way the heather is still out in Beeley Moor as of today still super bright 👌

😂 very true, if I made a top 5 windiest Peak District walks video that would easily be number 1! Thanks for letting me know, Baslow Edge looked amazing yesterday also, Beeley Moor is one of my favourite places! Love the whole Chatsworth area. Have a great bank holiday guys 👍😂

You’ve done it again Alex, produced a stunning video of the Peak District! Lud’s and the Roaches are some of the places I have still to visit, but you have inspired us. Sorry about the cold. I know how it feels, I have a chest infection but managed to get out for a 6.5 mile walk yesterday!

As you know Alex I normally give some detailed comments. Your standard of videos is so consistently high though that I shall simply say that was brilliant. And after a great week in the Peaks last week, I agree with what you said, it was unusually quiet for the time of year. I suspect the economic situation is probably having an impact on tourism or on people like me who live a long distance away and have to fund accommodation and travel costs. Not sure when I will be able to return but hopefully soon!

Great vlog! Love it around there, just wish I could get there more often, maybe this year!! Is the Wishing/Money Tree still in Luds Church? Thought I spotted it but wasnt sure.
