"Kiel Week" has begun, the largest sailing festival in Northern Europe. 19 stages, countless concerts for free, but not one with such great music as on your Wollaton Channel, Pat. The old Stones and especially this remix are first class. Thank you.

This sounds phenomenal Pat, would you be able remix Fortune Teller if you have the time?

Faster pace than the Chuck Berry original. They had a really tight R & B sound on this debut single which had to be a cover as they had’t started writing their own stuff. Great rhythm guitar from Keith Richards. Decca only sent 4 copies to Andrew Oldham’s office so the Stones had to go and buy some singles so they could all have a copy. Sounding great Pat on the new Grado wireless bluetooth headphones just acquired for iPad listening like this. Nice open back Grado sound.

My ten year old Grado headphones are starting to fail now. I'm thinking of getting the Grado sr80x headphones as replacements. I'll let you know how I get on Henry !

@@radiowollaton8521seems to be the best value/sound quality in the Grado line-up. Have had the SR325e for some time in my humble music system - nice open clear sound. When up at Audio Emotion in Glenrothes for the wireless Grado, got the chance to listen in demo room to an Audeze LCD4 which retails for £3,800- wow.

@@radiowollaton8521the sr80x gets high praise for best Grado sound quality for the price. When picking up the Wireless Grados at Audio Emotion in Glenrothes, I took the chance to listen to the Audeze LCD4 in the demo room. This model retails at £3,800 - wow factor.

Sounds great, but a lot of early Stones songs are nowhere near the quality of the Beatles’ songs of that era. That’s why the Stones are not the greatest rock band of all time, with early stuff like this…
@radiowollaton8521Ай бұрын
Thanks Bill. The 1965 & 1966 recordings don't sound great, but the recordings they made at Chess studios in Chicago, in 1964, do sound good.
@billmulvihill8452Ай бұрын
@@radiowollaton8521 Yes they do. My point is that every time I hear someone tell me the Stones are the greatest rock n roll group, I have to point to their early stuff like the performance of this song, which to me doesn’t hold a candle to the Beatles output of the early years, IMHO.
